hi, have some questions regarding vicom inspection. shop quoted me $60 for a sure pass one. but check and found that inspection only cost $9. decided to go inspection myself.

1) my bike can say 90% stock parts , no moded stomach , endcan , airbox , lights etc..

2) my front brake pumpkit spoil. press brake lever will stuck sometimes.

3) speed(the km/h) meter spoil.

4) front brake got brake light but rear brake no brake light.

5) just decarbon , sound louder than before, but smoke emission not much.

rest of the parts should be working fine.

does all the above affect much ? going to the kaki bukit vicom.

thanks for any help.

1) can pass

2)make sure ur front brake pump work on that time during inspection. its better to change, brakes r important.

3) meter spoil nvm, they wun check ur meter.

4)this stunt is better if u r on ur bike. if they ask to tap rear brake, make sure u pull in the front brake too. so the rear lights up.

5) doesnt matter since u nv mod it.

i feel vicom quite strict. i will go for STA.

Better fix up your bike, especially your tail / brake light. There was a few occasions whereby on the road, some fellow bikers were without proper working headlights or brake lights. Nearly crash onto them on roads on stretches with poor street light condition.

Same goes with your brakes.

2) can use WD40 spray see it work or not? if not need to change the spring inside the brake pump think abt $50

4) think sensor/wiring problem only.. if fixing ur front brake.. ask them do ur rear.. should be FOC and alittle charge.

Better spend ur $$ on ur repair Than giving to bike shop

agree w/ bro totalpet.

repairing yr spoilt items like new brake pump kit, speedometer cable, adjust rear brakelight sensor, etc may set u back around $70 to $80 nia.

get them fixed and go for inspection w/ peace of mind.

especially important is yr brakes. even if u heng heng clear inspection, u never knw when the brakes may fail when u need them the most.
