I'm actually considering a bike now from this shop in tampines industrial too..

Felt little weird listening to the guy selling me the bike cos usually i'm the one doing the selling..keke..so it's a refreshing change..

Regarding the bike..i feel its market price..not ex, not cheap..bikes were covered by tarpaulin sheet/big umbrella when i went "in", prob due to slight rain before that..

Regarding the shop..interior area for servicing purposes..looks fairly neat + uncluttered..

If i do get the bike from them, i will be sure to update progress here..

really quite like the bike..haha..*fingers crossed*..

bought my bike from a fellow forumer whose bike was under hire purchase at the mentioned shop. went there to complete the sale and was met my the owners and the mech ...

they were indeed very friendly and will entertain u with any doubts u might have ... there were 2 issues however that bug me till today ...

1). the mech was telling me that he had worked on the bike that i was buying and that it was a very good machine....he also said that he might have considered buying it for himself if he had known earlier.

after purchasing my bike, i brought it down to my own mech to get it checked and he almost collapsed. what i saw was that the mech managed to do everything that was not supposed to be done, for example:

-Water poured into coolant reservoir

-Rear tail was not fastened properly

-Bearings were broken

-Clutch plate worn out

-Plugs were in very bad shape ... and many more ...

It amazed me that he thought the bike was good. i dun really trust him with quality workmanship. but i got the bike @ a bargain price so i did not complain much.

2). Having helped me settle my insurance for this new bike, i have yet to receive my NCB rebate. They tell me its with their head office and this thing takes time. it has been 7 months and no updates yet.

This is just my experience and others may have conflicting versions. but then again, u should have some basic knowledge about what to look out for when buying a bike. after buying it, try to bring it down to some reputable shops to get them back to health.

if it was me, i would not go back for servicing. good luck bro and hope this helps ...

regularly serviced my wave there. so far am very happy with the level of service and smile by "young boss" and the mechanics are also friendly and will chat with you about your bike.

also got once my carb was missing a part and the only way to replace it was to purchase an entire new carb, but they managed to dig out the part from an old carb they used for spares, so saved quite a bit of money there.

if i go there and tell them i am in a rush for time (e.g. lunch hour) they also accommodate by prioritizing my bike. not sure if other bros here receive the same service but by now they know my face there as an infrequent regular customer lol

wow..wasn't quite expecting a reply..so fast some more..

bro deltaboi>>thanks for the heads-up regarding your experience there.. appreciate all the info i can gather..

i guess sometimes it's like that..these things happen when no one wants them too..but since you mentioned you got the bike at a good price then good for you! have you tried asking them about the ncd rebate?

of course i know that a lot of us out there have wonderful experiences getting from owners/shops too, so lets just hope that i can update on my progress (if any) with a :) rather than a  !..lolz..

good luck to us all!

My friend just bought a Piaggo X9 which is supposedly left at the shop by the ex owner. We went to view the bike and the boss is quite ok. I noticed the left signal light bulb red colour filter is dislodged made a remark about it but I understand they have nothing to do with it since the bike is not under their ownership.

We settled for the asking price and when my friend went down to collect the bike, he charged my friend $30 for the bulb red"replacement".....

Weird. I don't think its a standard practice to perform a maintenance without consulting your customer right..... And 30 bucks for bulb replacement? You be the judge.

Biting on the fray of my hair, I muse upon the way to find the oasis of evermore beyond the vertical horizon, I shall join the windupdeads in owl city, neither my safetysuit nor my red jumpsuit apparatus can save me, cuz I mistook a death cab for cutie in plain white T's...
