Take back the bike laa.. Technically, it's still yours. Have it towed back and chain it up. Then quickly settle with that someone. If insurance not renewed, I believe the Road Tax has expired too. So, it's either you lay off the bike or get the full amount for insurance & road tax from that someone, then you pay both yourself.... That is if you still wanna trust him.

As mentioned by the rest, its best that you get possession of the bike cos if the subrider rides w/o a valid insurance/road tax and get caught, you will also be held liable because legally you still own the bike. That said, if you choose to take back the bike, DO NOT add the subrider name until you both work something out to ensure this does not repeat.

Best is you tell the police the truth. Explain the situation to them. Most probably it will be classified as a lost vehicle. But before you do that why dont you try going down to the subrider's residential area. It will be most likely that the bike will be somewhere in the vicinity unless he really wants to run away with the bike, which is very unlikely.

Is the threat on sms? If yes, keep the sms and show to the police. :thumb:

If you know where the owner stays, why not pay a visit? Then, it you see the bike in the carpark, call for towing and have it towed to your residence or the bike shop.

go his house area.. just look for ur bike...

if cant find and ur still keeping the sms, go report to police sincerely. explain everything to them and see how they can help and advice. If u still owe the shop for the months COI. they will most prob come and tow the bike too..

call him up or look for him at his house....

if he never reply take these actions.

if he stays up in hdb area, go hdb and find whether he got buy season parking and find the carpark where he brought.

if not go axs machine see whether got any summons or not. (remember how a bus owner found his bus after the bus got stolen)?

then call towing to tow away your bike if u have the key.

if bike is under installment inform the company.

they would advice u on anythin that follows and on law also.

hope u recover ur bike soon.

(P.s: have u gotten the red letter from LTa? for not renewing rt?)

COI.....its a risky bizness.

Hopefully many can learn from this. At times its better to refinance and transfer then COI.

Hope for TS sake time is enough to recover the bike. Dun wan later police recover then all strip down already.

currently the sub rider have not renewed the road tax and insurance yet.

so as the owner of the bike,i need to get the bike back under my possession to prevent any trouble...

so has the insurance and road tax already lapsed? did he lay up your bike? if you know for sure he is still riding your bike without ins and road tax just report police and ask for their advice on how you should proceed.

they most prob wont take action against him unless he is caught red handed riding without ins and road tax but i'm sure they will advise you on what to do next.

make a police report, lay-up the bike b'cause ur still the owner and late renewal of the roadtax is chargeable to u, in the same time look around his area if found the bike tow and chain the bike because he still got the bike key. outstanding installment issue, ur still

liable to cleared it....

Let me try to explain to you in such point forms, that you do understand.

1) You are still the owner of the bike. With probably still outstanding installments to the bike shop.

2) The insurance and road tax are still in your name and thus you are responsible. For renewing the road tax and paying off the installments owned to the bike shop.

3) Insurance is in your name, thus you are in control of who you wish to add in as a insurance sub rider.

4) How the subrider/COI person threaten you. You can threaten back with if he/she does not return the bike to your possession before a certain date and time, as this noon. You as a owner of the bike, can & WILL lodge a police report against the subrider/coi person as someone who is stealing the bike. If the subrider is caught with the bike, without Road Tax, without Insurance, and with your police report already lodged. That person can go answer to court and jail sentence himself/herself.

5) As long as the bike is not returned to your possession by today. He/She is responsible for the aftermaths. You just have to pay off the bike installments and work on dealing with the paper value of something you already lost to a dishonest subrider/COI person later.

6) In the event that the bike is returned to you. Do consider carefully again, whether you wish to maintain such contract with such subrider/COI person anymore.

7) In the event that the subrider/COI finally made payments for the insurances and road tax. You can still terminate the insurance and remove the subrider from riding the bike anymore. Then its up to you to decide how much you want to reimburse the subrider/COI person for his/her payment of the insurance and road tax.

Interesting...........awaiting updates...Do let us know the continuation bro.

Best is to make a police report first bcoz lets say if he does any offence (eg beat redlight, 12 dem pt). He can deny it and the punishment will still go to you.

This is what happens when sub-rider play punk.

a) Get back your bike

b) Give that guy a one-time gd 1 eardrums banging up dwn left right centre piece of yr mind..n warn him if he ever threatens u again, he'll never see the light of day again.
