a word of advice to all here:

before u guys go for any long trip, please remember to TIGHTEN ALL YOUR BOLTS & NUTS!!!

was on the way to KL last weekend. test the bike to 230 when i suddenly felt something hitting againist my hands. to my horror, i saw that the portion of the right fairing that's holding the signal had flew off!!! luckily it was still being held back by the signal wires. imagine wat it will be like to have a piece of your fairing flying towards you at 200+ km/h!!! My God... BUT, the best is yet to come...

was go the way back from KL, doing only 140 when i heard a loud POP, and felt tremendous resistances on the bike. HELL!! i was damn lost! I was lucky there were not many cars around mi at that moment and managed to slow the bike to a stop at the side. Guess wat had come off this time? My dear good old front mudguard!!! N where did it landed up? RIGHT IN THE MIDST OF MY FRONT WHEEL!!! It was stuck there between the spokes, chipped n broken, n i had to force it out n discard it.

damn!! I cant believe it manz!!! Am i so unlucky to deserve a FLYING MUDGUARD or should i thank my stars for not being a SOARING SUPERMAN on NorthSouth?!?!

so guys, please learn from my experience, n do wat u deemed fit!

!cheers!

hi dude.do join us if we meeting up manz

u riding to genting?

yeah tlr is a screw loose bike.the previous time i rode to cameroon, my exhast screws came out.luckyly my exhast did not drop out.together with it was at least 8 other fairing screws that went missing.got to go to the car shop to search for screws

hehe

the vibration is too strong.what u can do is that for major parts such as exhast hangers, put two nuts instead of one.

long time never come in here...seems like zx4 lost already manz...

hey, the scenario you described damn scary manz....all flying apart... I had a screw that went missing too...its the screw on the inside of the fairings....to hold the air-intake ...no way i can notice the screw is loose or what ....anyway, the whole air-intake thing got damn bloody loose...like gonna fly out...so i removed the fairing, and the whole pice just dropped off...haha...

really?is gd??how much?

ya its good.ur milage is abt 102000km right?

time to do a top overhaul.

should be 700-800 accorrding to what he said.but he is very expereince.he even told us that he will need to take the whole engine out of the frame coz the rear block is behind the frame.

and the bike will be like new once its done.for chims and valve clearence it should be done every 20-30 thousand km.which i will be doing soon.the top overhaul is inclusive with this valve clearances and all gaskets needed too.and tps and tbs also inculded.

i think its a safe bet for u
