nice bike dude.is ur tires finishing??

tires saves life.sorry if im lo so.but i experience before.so dun save on tires

cheers bro

Man, you've got very keen eyes... luckily u r not TP, tyres still got thread but the rubbers are already hardened...ok on dry but definitely a no-no in the wet.

U r not lo so... just concerned, I appreciate that.

Yeah, I'm gonna get the tyres changed... maybe look out for people who have new 2nd hand stock tyres who have changed to race tyres.

Also wanna do a full service and tune up.. adjust valve clearance, re-map, exhaust wrap, chain oiler... SH*T, my wifey's gonna kill me... spending $$$$..... must control expenses

Anyone got lobang who can do a good value-for-money (not cheap nor unnecessarily ex) mechanic or shop who can do TLR?? preferably in the East area?

Thanks

BTW, anyone still interested to "time-share" purchase the YAFMS... so we can all do simple re-mapping??

hey john. u can try this shop beside dexing motorshop at ubi. its called ubi cycle. look for the mechanic named AH-Lai. he is quite experience in TLR cos he used to be with motorsales as chief mechanic and they were racing with TLR at that time. we chatted with him before. nice guy who can explain some stuff about TLR to you. im going to get my valve clearance done by this guy soon.

There are two types of Yosh boxes, but usually people refer to the Yosh YAFMS box as the Yosh box. This unit is not model specific & you plug it in, adjust mapping & unplug the box. The second style is much like a Power Commander & is called the Yosh EMS unit. This is model specific & just like the Power Commander is plugged in & stays in place. You can download maps & adjust mapping very precisely with this device.

the power commander or Yosh EMS box allows for virtually unlimited mapping capabilities. The Yosh YAFMS box allows mapping increments from -10 to +10.

got the information from tlplanet. hope to share with you all.

nope im not TP

hehe

i wish i was.but i think life's hard for them too.cannot imagine everyday under hot sun and rain on the road...

tires do save life.

for servicing like valve clearance, like what roy said, u can try ubi cycle.ah lai.

i might be going there to do valve clearance.

the expected amt is as follow:

1)top head serving(recommanded to do every 25000km)

-valve clearance

-shim filing and changing if required

-top head gasket

-change of coolant(nesseary)

-tbs and tps

$270

2)top overhaul(recommanded to do every 100,000km)

-taking out engine out from frame(as the rear block is hidden)

-valve clearance

-shim filing and changing if required

-top head gasket

-change of coolant(nesseary)

-valve cleaning

-piston cleaning

-all gasket

-engine oil

-tbs/tps

-setting of shims

-cam chain(if nessecary)

-cam chain tensioner(if nessecary)

-cam spocket(if nessecary)

-checking of con rod

-optional inculde plugs,oil filter.....

$700-$1000

the prices are estimated by ah lai.

hope it clarifies any of ur doubts.i am not experience but thats what i get from ah lai,he seems rather experience and i think he had handled many tlr before.so its a safe bet for me.

btw after putting things like aftermarket air filter n race systems, no need to do remapping rite? the bike's ECU will do the neccessary compensation?

the ecu will not do anything.u might need to remap using teka or best pc2.

teka bike lab has it.

pc2 can get from msc or unity

for sliders u can contact motivation.they have it for tlr,but its not cheap coz it has brackets and drilling is nessary for this particular sliders.

for non cut sliders, look for wildcard!

can use wd40?

wonder if ohlins for other models can fit or not sia.....hmm....

nope...the trick abt the ohlins for tlr is that it requires extra bracket for it to work.

without these bracket the shock wil not sit properly and the angle wont be right!

one more:

the brackets!!!

these bracket cost abt 1k for penske make.thats why most of us got the ohlins...rather than penske which would add up to abt 2.5k
