Seriously. I've tried a sudden acceleration from low RPM with my gf gripping on tightly and I felt the front lift up a bit for a split-second.

I'm oso trying a bit past few days. No success. Not trying it correctly.

Maybe after my valve service and, heh heh, extra mod, can try again.

Bro,

I don't think there's anything wrong with yr tiller la... it's quite hard to get the front end high enough on early attempts... the fear factor of looping out the bike is a real costly affair.

Here are some possibilities to consider:-

1. if you didn't have the TRE done... suddenly whacking the throttle will definitely cause the timing to retard to trim off power (I reckon due to early handing problems with the TLS, they have engine management to "cut" power... I reckon la)

2. Maybe your rolling speed is already too fast?? What's your gearing? Standard?

3. Anyway, like Johnson said... try not to wheelie too much la... very "sim tiah" (heart pain) when the front end slams down (unless you know how to control the throttle for a soft "landing".. I can't)

 

On another subject.....bohoohoo... I was going to "acquire" an '97, XR600 (for about $2.5K) but unfortunately the money-faced seller used my offer as a "trump card" to get a higher price and sold the bike to someone else... and the seller was suppose to be a long time friend of mine... damn... what happen to honour.... (and he actually only bought it for $1.8K... so he was already making a profit off me...)
