HI people...

Need some help from fellow TL riders. I'm in need of parts for my bike, a TLS.

Looking for a set of cylinder gaskets, top and bottom and a set of big end crank bearings. Know of a shop where I can get them in Singapore?

Cheers

whoa...sounds like a major job coming up... crank bearings!!

hmmm... read somewhere about a Big Bore (Piston) Kit .... should consider it if your motor is being opened up

erm, some of these may bot be available at KS.

The last time I had to strip the engine, had to wait about 3 weeks for the full gasket set and gearbox to arrive from Canada.

So might wanna check with the shops first. I won't recommend the shop I did at last time. Trust me.

You can check out Looi's, Sporting (shoei would recommend) or even go back to Guan Hoe.

Yup, it is a big JOB!!! Damn..... Getting front cylinder and piston 2nd hand from fiche man ( TLplanet) and gasket kit from the states. Guan hoe about 1 month wait so getting from cycleparts.com . best bet and cheapest parts if ever you get into my situation!!!!!!!

Looked at the big bore kit but a bit to much for me, USD 385 without shipping and Mal tax. Missed out on one guy who wanted to sell a set for 100USD by 1 day!!!AAARRGGhhh.Getting port and polish tho. You all know TLS a bit on the crazy side with the power so port and polish will do me fine for the moment.

Converted handle bars to MX bars and its so much fun I tell you, just throw the bike from side to side damn shiok. Thanx John.

Got full Yosh exh system ( thanx shoei ) damn loud and lovin it. Screw the cops, catch me if you can MOTTO!!

Yosh box adj, +5, +10, +5, mentally crazy low and mid range. Scares the sh*t out of me, to tell you the truth!! The scarier the BETTER!!

Better off with standrd bore high comp I think. Too much money and dangerous. Big bore bout 500USD and liners bout 350USD. workmanship??

Standard Crankshaft might not be able to handle it unless you change I've been told.

If I were in the States were its easy to get parts, I would consider. Over our side here, don't think so....

mine is fully tinted. can still see thru la. and ya new one about 130 so mine is about 1/2 the price, thus no room for bargaining sorry.

i dun intend to bargain. just weighing the cost and benefit to see if its more worth it to buy a new one or to top up and get from u. Im still thinking if its necessary to change also coz i still need to do up some internal parts.. maybe leaving the external to the last.

cheers

Guan Hoe said TLS is carb?

And they are the Suzuki Service Agent?

I wonder how are they gonna tune the bike. Can picture them looking high and low for the tuning knob. Heck, they'll prolly wonder where the carb is in the first place.

Think I was right to steer away from them........

Even Planet motors can be spot on to tell me TL1000s are EFI.
