try to empathise to how i felt when i read the earlier post abt my bike being jialat (again, not meaning any malice to suzuka. MAKE LUV NOT WAR!). it's quite dis-heartening when u see that all your time n money pumped into your beloved bike earns you nothing more than a unworthy label. anybody who prides their machine will had felt the same.

 

regarding the pic n othr specs, i'll post more details when i collect my bike n take a pic of it.

I think it would be a great idea to merge the japanese V-twins... like the Ducati forum.. instead of having a forum for every model.

 

Then we'd have more activity related to V-Twins

fuel consumption full tank can go 150km + than reseve like tat onli, not really tested use up yet, but now dunno why 168.5km still not reserve yet.

 

Really hope all the V-Twin can get ard, cos see other post， V-Twin kena inline 4 condamn like s..t!!

Thanks! btw this blike i bought the prices is quite resonable compare to other motor tiam, but i spend $630 to change the tires & spotket lo...other than tat everythings still ok lo, yup i bought fr defu lane, i oso went ard SG than found it 1, been my dream bike since i ride my 2b bike 2001. now finally got it liao...haha quite happy wif it. insureance oso not too ex 4 my age is below 1k 4 2nd party.

hmmm... if you are getting good fuel consumption.. that's great

 

haha... many people like to compare.. I rode the TLR before switching to my Gixxer... an IL4.... OK, in a straight line I reckon, the VTR,TLR Duc will have a jump on me as the V-twin kicks in very hard low down the rev range

 

By the time I flick into 2nd gear, I'll reel in the V2 and pass them...

 

On open twisty road riding like going Mersing etc... I'd rather have a V-twin, easy roll on power, easy overtaking etc... I'd have to work my IL4 pretty hard and playing the gears a lot.. tiring...

 

So, don't compare and don't care what people say... just enjoy the ride

Wats is Gixxer? u meen ur is ltr pick up faser after 2nd than VTR huh? or after 3 gear?? 2nd gear cannot b lah, cos i saw on the web VTR 1000SP

0 to 100kmhp is 3 sec leh..

i heard fr motor shop onli lamo can beat VTR cos his pick up speed is 2.6/7/8 sec 0 to 100kmhp

 

no offen to TLR Riders ah juz check fr some of my information! Pls no hard feeling, juz wanna share abit of knowleadge..but can learn more fr u guys out there.

0 to 100kmhp is 3 sec leh.. 100km/h comes up in 1st gear for most of our bikes... the Gixxer power comes up around 8-9,000 rpm right up to 13,000rpm.. so the V-twins get a jump on the Gixxer, but once it's in the power zone (9,000rpm onwards... the Gixxer rocks....) look at the torque curve of these bikes and you will understand what I am saying... max torque for VTR & TLR around 5-6,000rpm but pulls strongly from 2,000rpm already... max torque for Gixxer comes around 11,000rpm, pulls from around 6-7,000rpm

the 0-100km/h timing is academic... launch techniques etc etc comes into play

Gixxer is a term for GSX-R... like Tiller is for TLR..... "terms of endearment"... like when you call out to your girlfriend/wife or lover "babe" etc

TLR 0-100 is 3.4s

Gixxer is 3.1s

 

Not much diff here.. you blink and it's all over... blinking takes up to 0.5s, try it yourself hahahaha

sorry to dissapoint you... but in this video, the TLR kills the VTR on outright power but the VTR (RC51) is better on track... and did even win a WSB title... the TLR wasn't even competed... and the WSB only allowed IL4 at 750cc to race with V2 at 1000cc... so there!.. there is no need to compare.... it's all academic..

Yummy would definitely be better... The strangest thing happened to me. Even though I knew there was that Victoria's Secret fashion show on Ch 5 last night, I passed on that just to post comments in this forum. Had it been a year back before I got my R1 bike, I would have been transfixed in front of that TV, ogling at all those lovely lingeries (as if!)... Now, way past that stage already. I'd rather ogle at sportslitre sportsbikes...
