Hi Dhiah, good luck with Ur License,as for Ur queries all i can say the FC for Tiger roughly 400 to 450 km for a 13L tank depend on Ur throttle discipline as for my distance From Punggol to Tuas no problem and u don't have to worry about 2T like the other bikes u mention that's the main thing about 4 stroke engine and the bikes u mention is all sports full fairing type and they will drink Ur petrol like water If u looking for FC bike,there's a lot of 4 stroke bike to choose from, hope this answer Ur question. I decided to use my dad's bike first till I've saved enough and no longer use p-plate. My dad keep nagging that p-plate insurance and the current COE is high. So sort of have no choice but to ride his phantom. At least I dont have to pay installment every month.

Hello Tiger bros. Ok I collected my bike yesterday back from Unique Motorsports workshop after about 1 week of servicing. Here are all the things I did:

Engine oil + Spark Plug

Fork Alignment

Steering Cone

Star Performance Brake Hose (similar to HEL)

Service Carburetor

Change Handlebar

Knock back my dented tank + Spray

Change both front and rear tyres to tubeless (Michelin)

Tubeless air valve adapter x2

Front signal lamp

EBC brake pads (front and back)

Headlamp bulb

 

So far the bike is back to normal. I had to do so many things cause after my bike was knocked down, really jialat condition. Subsequently the original IRC tyres was getting dangerous after 1 year, like everytime feel like going to skid. Then I also felt that when braking the handlebar will vibrate violently, so had to do fork alignment plus change steering cone n handlebar.

Quite satisfied with the service provided by Unique.

Total was $740. The tank knock back + spray was about $180 if I not wrong. So everything else around $560.

 

Most important thing for me is that my bike back to good condition. Cause I need to travel to many different places every week, so my bike is very important to me. So no choice have to spend money to ensure good working condition PLUS safety. Unique is professional la. Other workshop need to speak Chinese/Malay to the mechanic but I only speak English, so often difficult to explain what i want. At Unique they speak English, so it is very convinient for me. They also regularly called me to keep me updated on the cost and additional things that had to be done.

 

Hey chaos bro, if u going to Unique Toh Guan then you can speak to Louis. He's the guy who helped me settled all my problems. Very professional. You can quote my name Jay (Honda Tiger), he should remember who, haha, since i just only serviced my bike there.

Ok PolarisX thanks for the info bro juz want to ask u how much it cost for the brake line and the brake pad that u hae done at unique coz been thinking of changing that only thanks oh Louis i think i ever talk to him when i did my tyre there never mind will check it out Chaos out.....

Hi Saibot , maybe u got to try both bike juz to feel which bike u most comfortable with and for the Fuel consumption, i think should be the same n as u now Tiger is from indonesia n Fz16 is from India as for the accessories not much for Tiger very limited as for FZ16 i have no idea.As far i know most of the accessories can be mod fix both bike hope this will help u to choose Chaos out,,,.....

yeah bro take ur time if ur not in hurry but frankly speaking this bike quite powerful im been riding for roughly 4mths just change my racing coil n racing filter brand protek makes really different to the ride c ya hope u find ur suitable bike Saibot chaos out......

I would blindly pick the Tiger:

for the following reasons:

Honda Tiger Max Power = 16.7 PS

Yamaha FZ16 Max Power = 14 PS

Better pick up and top speed for the Tiger

 

Honda Tiger 6 Speed Gear Box

Yamaha FZ16 5 Speed Gear Box

This means good power at the low end as well as smooth cruising on the highways for the Tiger

 

Honda Tiger Rear Disc Brakes

Yamaha FX16 Rear Drum Brakes

Better stopping ability for the Tiger

 

It only the looks that would force you to go for FZ16 but I would go for substance more than style

I'm oso looking at Honda tiger and fz16.. Lol..seems like tiger not bad.. But Coe now very ex.. Saw a bike shop selling 2nd hand tiger fbe Plate.. dunno whether should get it or not.
