Renewing your insurance

Hi this january will be my 1 year of ridinng , just wanna ask about the renewing of insurance btw my insurace is with AXA , must i renew my insurance at the bike shop that i buy ?? cause i hate that shop and dont want to go back there again . Also any extra admin charges etc ?? Cause i called up AXA and the say my insurance will be 200+ , so i need to pay that amount only or + admin fees???

if you have no more business with the shop, you do your insurance anywhere. but if you still owe them installment, you better check with the shop loh.

 

all the brudders here can tell you no need to pay admin but if the shop wants to charge, you still have to pay because end of the day it's still between you and the shop. afterall, we also dunno what happen between you and the shop.

If the shop ask for admin fee, the receipt/invoice must breakdown the actual insurance premium and admin fee. They need to inform you of the admin fee in advance and not just keep quiet and charge you a sum.

 

We must understand the shop need to incur cost in collecting insurance from insurance company ie parking, ERP etc...of course the admin must be reasonable

If not, you can proceed to Case to complain them for overcharging.

and also just to ask, is it possible to change insurance while still on hire purchase with bike shop?

Like from NTUC to AXA?

 

And issit possible to "Downgrade the insurance policy" while still on hire purchase?

like from 3rd party, fire and theft to 3rd party only?

Best and cheapest ,i think you can go to NTUC to get a quote,but remember to tell them if you have NCD to carry over.every penny counts....

I dun think NTUC is the cheapest. I was get a bike a few weeks ago, WTT Insurance at Golden Mile/Mitsui give me the best price. NTUC the most ex follow by by Anda/AXA. So you have to ask around the price first.cheers.

I just renewed my insurance and Allianz was the cheapest .

but....do note tat not all bikes allianz, axa n so on will insure due to reasons

like high-risk blah blah blah...

u can get any insurance from any agent only if u already cleared all your loans else, check with ur bike shop....
