Is there new cash card and IU compatible

Hi, i am using the old iu the big one and use the normal kind old cash card. Is there a new cash card that can be used as ez link to take bus mrt kind ?? and there is a new slim iu unit. I try the new card but cannot use with the old iu ?? anyone can help ?? how come the card cannot read ??

But it can only be used only in the new IU, ie. the slim type. Not readable by the first generation IUs.

if i'm not wrong bro, the old fat UI can only read cash card while the new slim UI can read both cash card and ez-link card...

how about car park systems, can it read the new cash card ?? cos i have a new gen cash card with money but cannot use leh ! i mean i manual insert to use for parking can or not ah ... then the new slim IU cannot read old gen cash card ??? si beh du lanz

Old IU - Can only accept old gen type cashcard. The card with a chip.

 

New IU - Can accept both type of cards.

 

Currently those carpark system can only accept old cash card. I've tried using the new cashcard inside my new IU, cannot clear the carpark system. Even when if you want to insert the cashcard into their system card slot for payment, they will require you to use the old cashcard. Therefore I always carry 2 kind of cards with me.

Bro thank you for clarifying and also testing it out. Hahaha cos i kana before without an old cash card and got stuck in a carpark. Which i find the system abit FARGED UP....

I find the most stupid thing is that you cant use it in barrier carpark which is very frustrating. Imagine you are on a steep slope and you one hand need to hole on brake then the other need to take out the cashcard from your wallet and put into the barrier reader.

 

Then there are tonnes of vehicles hornking at you. and you are stuck. cos the reader is on your right and your right hand is holding the brakes. And if you are riding a bigger fuel tank FULL of fuel. Let say African Twin. knn how to balance....

One other factor LTA forgot and failed to address, how many of our cashcards have been stolen because we simply forgot to remove it from the ERP unit. How natural is it for any motorcyclist to remember to remove something called a cashcard? It's the keys and the helmet first. Then the hassle of the cashcard. Sometimes we even forget our keys....

Hohoho dun remind me of that man. The thing is that if its a car, you can place your cashcard last min in the IU. As for bike HOW TO? Then they summon you. Like as if we wanna or as if we CAN siam ERP. They make it like we purposely dun put ERP hoping that the summon wont come. Wat crap is that man.

Yup still using the "CASHCARD" the new card is call CEPAS....
