hella horn problem

i installed my hella disc type horn on my super4.fix it at a bike shop..

first few days it can be used,but after awhile wen i press the switch,the horn doesnt go off till now...

when i press the switch,der's a clicking sound from the relay..

 

i juz wana noe is my relay gone?or maeb i can just connect it directly without using the relay...

check ur horn..behind it there should be 2 wires connected to each horn....the wires drop out quite easily...i have the same problem...hope that helps for u...

the clicking sound means that from battery to relay, connection is fine.

 

the problem now probably lies in one of the wire connection from the relay to either/both horns.

check your fuse.. .. might be blown.......

Could be the relay. For my bike, the mech didn't hide the relay properly and when it rained, the horns doesn't work. My riding group mech hid the relay under the steering covers and it doesn't give me problems so far.

sorry if this ques is out of topic bt where cn i buy this horn....i always being bullied by the drivers...as i'm a new rider n i really need tat horn,most of the drivers like to change lane without checking their blindspot,tat time i almost got hit even i horn he just ignore me..make me stress....hope cn get help from u guys.....thanks bros=)...pm me the price n where to buy....or i cn buy from u guys

Good news is I have a spare set of disc horn which never made it to my previous ride. Bad news is I'm will not be in Singapore until 3 weeks time.......

check the grounding wire from the horn...the black one must touch the frame...

the horn can be brought from concorde building. its a warehouse selling all sorts of bike and car accessories....hella horn sells for around 60 if i'm not wrong. u need to bring it to a shop to have it fixed.

i got mine from mustaffa but does not come with a relay it was $44.

check ur power supply. likely it is weak liao.

can start bike but not means able to horn.

can plug in ur stock horn to c.

relay hard to spoilt one as only passive component unless u wack it with hammer else under normal wrking condition it is ok.

You said the relay was clicking when u pressed the horn switch. That means its working. How did you connect direct to the power supply? Thru the stock wiring? Its gonna burn ur stock wiring cuz the aftermarket horns usually draws higher curent than stock ones. U better stop using it now or it might cause bigger problems later.

 

I live in the west. I dont mind helping you to check FOC if u can meet my timing. 6pm onwards.

bro i haf same prob too. juz to double cfm wif u, when u press the horn, the sound goes click click click rite? if tats the case, chk the grounding wire of the horn. it muz be connected to the frame.
