Looking for witness

Accident on 4/01/2010, first work day of 2010, monday.

 

Time - 9.15am

 

Location - Junction of Tampines ave 2 and ave 5, filter lane towards PIE / Simei ( Between Safra and 139 Round market )

 

Story - I was riding my red and black CBR400 fire blade on the way to work, as i turn into the filter lane going towards PIE / Simei, i saw on-coming cars from avenue 5 towards PIE, as i was in the filetr lane just pass the zebra crossing, i stopped at the give way line right at the exit of the filter lane. I was stationary for about 5 secs waiting for a chance to ride out, then i was hit from the back by an unknown car, causing me to be flung and semi-unconcious by the road. The driver of the unknown vehicle is a lady driver, as told to me by the ambulance guys.

 

I am looking for witness for my case, as this lady driver is claiming that i cut into her lane and jammed brakes, which is not true at all. As there is currently no witness, i am at risk of being charged by the traffic police.

 

I couldn't move after i was hit, and lay on the floor untill the ambulance came to pick me up. I was in hospital ICU, then a day later transferred to high dependency ward, as my spine was dislocated from my neck, and i had a deep laceration on my groin area due to being slammed against my own fuel tank as i was riding a sports bike. I was bed ridden in hospital for 2 weeks, when i recieved a claim from insurance saying that this lady driver is trying to claim for her damages. I am very disappointed as the I.O traffic police told me that there were no witness for my case. I am currently on neck brace and will be wearing that for the next 3 months.

 

Please to any tampines riders who can be witness to my case, i am a victime in this case, but blame is being put on me.

anyone witness 7 dec on PIE towards changi on a Monday morning @ 820am?i m the victim got multi- fracture , 2 ribs , cervical, and a super four vtec grey color

 

at near eng neo exit? total of 5 veh involved.

By looking at the damage where u got hit from rear, by showing photo evidence probably is able to exclude if you cut into her lane or bang from rear....probably u can consider to provide these info to TP and insurance to fight your case..

In any accident, usual 1 of both sides make their stories more interesting. This is normal.

 

IO will weigh what you siad and accident scene. If there is mismatch, IO usually can tell.

 

It is not easy to get witness, on the other hand.

 

It is more important of what you tell IO. IO usually are experience to tell if story is real or make up, so be prepared with your facts when you meet IO.

 

I kanna langgar before, and enjoy bed for about 2 months.

 

The more serious your injury, the longer the case, so be prepare too.

 

More important, speey recovery and do what you like to do always, but no time to do.

checked with the IO oreadi. she mention that the case usually need 3mth to come to a verdict. well its been almost 2mths only .. guess juz have to wait..

The most important thing is that you are fine, and I guess all of us are really happy with that. How are the injuries coming? I'll spread word among my friends and will post back here should I have any news. Speedy recovery!

looking at the information given. its real hard to conclude whos right whos wrong.

 

as we noe bike can cut infront of vehicles very quick and by the time cars realised, ur bike may already been there for a few secs.

 

and u said 5 secs b4 u got hit. maybe the time is shorter than u think.

 

anyway. always check ur mirrors everytime u have cut infront of any vehicles to make sure.

 

dun be complacent.. ur lucky ur still alive is wat i feel. always look out. we bikers are always on the suffering side whenever there are accidents, whether we in the right or wrong...
