Two years ago, I recce'd and found a shop in the kranji industrial park area (close to kranji damp) that does modification to the wave. The guy will extend the u-box increasing the tank capacity to 11 or 12L, if I remember. It's quite long since I have been there, not sure if the shop still exist. Heck if you ask me, it will probably take a while for me to even locate the place, lol. Haven't been there in a while and that place was so ulu..

if you ever suddenly remember the located of this coveted shop, maybe after a knock on the head or revelation in your dreams :) please share with us here alright?

if there is a shop able to perform such a mod to the fuel tank, dun need 12L.. even if max 10L also i will fork out money to buy a new wave :)

12L probably can hit just around 552km per tank. my old wave fc was about 46km/L.

hmm.. but my pulsar200 comes up to 680km per tank.. still more mileage. maybe i should be contented le.. lol

Pulsar is able to hold 18L of petrol, right? Of course a wave can't compete. Maintenance wise, any back alley shop can do up a wave. Can't say the same with the pulsar..

Anyway, a friend has just gotten a wave. Might go look for that shop again this weekend. Stay tune for updates.

Whether it is legal, it's opened to interpretation because many scramblers are using after-market over-sized tanks and I haven't heard of problems with inspection or the ROVs.

Definitely it is possible. Just buy one of those aftermarket scrambler plastic tanks, such as IMS, Acerbis etc, capacity from 15 litres to 25 litres, fabricate some brackets to secure it.

I have seen a Wave with such a mod, and it doesn't look too bad.

:)

wow never heard of such things. amazing..
