Hi, i realized all white helmet, after using under rain and shine, the colour will tend to fade to yellowish white. Even helmet with white logos, the white part will fade to yellowish white. Anyone here knows how we can maintain the helmet to look white all the way? any lotion we can apply on the helmet?

Yes it is a irritating problem isn't it? I believe it has got something to do with UV turning the white paint yellowish. If that's true, maybe can try wax, polish those with UV protection.

Other suggestions feel free to chip in!

I guess? There's no free lunch in this world isn't it? Unless the paint itself on the helmet is resistive to turning yellow or u can apply a permanent layer that does that, i guess waxing once in awhile is the next best alternative?

I Feel Ahh Its Not The Paint That Turned Yellow. Its The Thin Layer Of Lacquer Covering It. Because When I Chip Off The Lacquer, The Paint Below Is Still White.

Maybe Just My Helmet?? o_O

so what should we do, lacquer again?

How To Lacquer Again? You Will Need To Remove The Yellowish Lacquer First Which Is Impossible Leh. Hahaha. I Think If You Polish It With A Buffing Machine, It Will Turn Back To White. :)

Try Soft99 got one particular one for removing yellowish from white. Or get those with UV and apply before it turns white.

It happens to cheap helmets all the time, but does it happen to more expensive FF? so far all the FF i got is black due to this reason.

You Can Try Polishing With Soft 99 Plus A Handheld Buffing Machine Like The One Below Which Is Used For Cars. Just Dun Stay On One Spot For Too Long Or The Paint Will Kinda Melt.

Or One Of The Solutions Is To Try To Keep It Out Of The Sun As Much As You Can.

Once You Finish Riding, Dun Leave The Helmet On The Bike Exposing It To Mothernature. UV Rays Will Make The Colour Fade. Or If U Want, Mod Ur Bike Put Umbrella Like Below. :cheeky:
