rajeh_bp,

get it fixed asap, best rectification is overhaul the whole system for the benefit of long run. it can be done at most places.

after u got it done, do replace ur clutch/brake fluids regular at an interval of 19,000km.

sorry guys I know this is off topic but I thought this 5.5litre Oil Change Container will be good for DIY for big bike like ST.

I got two of this if anyone interested $20 each and it is really useful for oil change and used oil disposal. No more mass.

From the attached pic you can see that funnel is attached to container for oil change.

Me also :offtopic: a bit.

First impression. I thought it's those Qing dynasty urine bottle...

Mass order will be cheaper or not?

HaHa You sure have good sense of humour. I just came back from Auckland and this 'urine bottle' is from there, I bought the last 3 on the shelf. I didn't see any web address on the label but there is manufacturer address and phone number. If want to MO first I must find out how I can make the arrangement with them.

Hi guys/gers/veterans/experts,

Got my new bike yesterday. Glad to be an ST11 owner.. it feels great. ;)

However as I am very new to this bike, hope all of you can help me, this newbie here.

Some doubts to clear:

1. When I ride the bike and release my hand, I felt my front handle bike shaking like hell.. like losing control like that. My speed was around 30-40km/hr. However, when I go slow, it is ok. Is it because ST11 bike is too heavy? Or is it somethhing wrong wif my tyre or stering cone?

2. I heard some squeaking sound when i jerk my bike to test my front fork suspension. The spueaking sound is like rusty components. Is it time to service the front fork or??

3. The rear suspension also got a bit of tat sound (but got gas release sound too) funny ley...

hope you all can help me up.:cheer: :giddy:

1 - could be loose steering cone or imbalance front tire wear. try to solve it by adding a little tighten to steering cone & inflat front tire to specific pressure to see how.

2 - could be.........or....... cant tell u what's the plm with just ur words, have to see it.

3 - same as no.2 explainor.

im still at 2B...but i really love the looks & feel of a ST11...

sat on my friend's ST11 before...& boy was it a good ride...

just to ask a few questions...

1. Whats the price of the road tax per year?

2. Average price of a 3 year old ST11?

3. Whats the fuel consumption like?

4. Seriously, is it a high maintainence bike?

Would appreciate any feedback to a newbie like me.

Now cluth no problem, but since that problem repaired, i feel that the bike is not so smooth. Last time when i go slow i can use like gear 3, but now when i do that, the bikes is like over gear, so have to use gear 2. Anyone cares to comment on why its like this? What to do with it? Does it mean the bike is smoother now then ever?probably i'm used to the old condition... hehehehe... I need to go for a servicing too soon. Probably end of the month.

Advices and suggestions much appreciated.

Fixed the problem... infact i serviced my bike.. but according to my mechanic, the feeling of no power during riding was caused by the plug... since now all fully serviced and changed.. no more problem... can fly ready.. hehehehe... thanks for all the advices.....

rogerfock,

tightening steering cone can DIY or most of the motordiam should be able to provide general & other servicing.

'side box protector' Im looking into it, quality & the price r my main concern now, probably May will have the 1st batch shipment coming in to distribute. I'll annouce once it's ready.

other accessories try to scout around, u should be able to find it. ;)

archenemy,

1. Whats the price of the road tax per year?

--- think is $370.... didnt really take note. :D

2. Average price of a 3 year old ST11?

--- depending on the price tag of the shop selling, pricing matter is very sensitive, I personally think it's not appropreiate to discuss in public.

3. Whats the fuel consumption like?

--- range from 15km/ltr, very much depending on it's condition & ur riding habit.

4. Seriously, is it a high maintainence bike?

--- seriously it's general servicing is almost the same with S4, tire wise u have few selection ranging from $300/pair. other than general servicing timing belt will need replacement at max. life span of 150,000km, but will need to inspect for its condition at 100,000km. mine was in good condition at 110,000km but I still have it replaced.

rajeh_bp,

ur plugs could be caused by condensed petrol fume moisted, to prevent it from happening, the next time u have ur plug change change it when ur engine is cool(parked overnite).

very simple DIY:

- with a plug wrench firmly seat in fresh new plugs into engine block untill spark plug's sealing washer firmly contacted, then with a spanner generously give it a firm crisp of 1/4 turn in, that's it..!

future plm with spark plugs resulting to 'mis-fire' should be able to be eliminated.
