Nice bike. Still remember our first ride to Thailand. Especially coming back Nakhornsi-Songkhla-Hatyai-Perak-Singapore. Going to miss riding side by side with ur bike. Good and reliable ride. Hope it will get a good new owner. You know who am I now. Smile bro.....

Hi bro, just went down to the mechanic and change the thermostat. The cooling system now seem better. Never exceed half. According to my mechanic it replace one which trigger to activate the cooling fan at 80 degrees Celsius comparing to the previous one at 100.

Then, went down to ah boy there to change my handle grip and balancers. But, the handle grip was too short for my ST handle bar, some of the metal is exposed- so ugly....sigh...no choice just use it first...anyone got good recommendation what handle grip is good for ST?

This racing boy grip too hard and can be painful after long ride. Heard the BM grip is good...any comment?

BMW grip is good IMO. Been using it on my precious bike and current ride.

I AM BACK!!!!!

Hi Seniors, I need your experience and advise again on this clutch problem. My is a 2003 ST1100. When its stuck in a jam or riding at very slow speed and the temperature went above half mark, the clutch feel spongy and engine RPM drop and it stall easily. It back to normal when i ride on the normal speed and temperature drop back to below half.

High temp clutch fiuld should solve the issue.

I AM BACK!!!!!

Thanks Tanarthur, I had changed the clutch plates and "pump". No more spoongy clutch. But the engine still stalled when the RPM drop too low unless I ram it up.

IMO, don't do in Jb...

Agree with you on that one. They normally don't carry parts for our type of bikes. Even if they did, the items are very old and in a not so convincing packaging. This was my opinion when I checked out the stores there. Worse still if they fix incompatible parts for you. If you truly value your ride, stick to a reliable and trusted mechanic as far as possible.

Agreed with Fuzz and Tanarthur - Spent a bit more to get tow back to SG sent to a reliable shop. As for part, either u can get new or buy used parts.

Bro no choice I lost my bike in JB 1yr ago now than the police found it at least have to do abit serivce before bring back to sg
hi bro

if the bike has really got sentimental value, why not do it up.if not just forget it & get on with what ever bike you are riding now.considering old st1100,difficult to get parts need to see "doctor" every now & then.consider those thiefs are indirectly telling you to upgrade.cheers & ride safe always.

You're right abt neighboring junco, it has security that gives out ticket at entrance hence it's safer, but there're still reported loses. I was at jusco then came over tesco, my org st stolen was parked main entrance and it was still gone, when I made report at security and police end'2010, they said park at places with CCTV, this parking is open air and has CCTV, still they target it openly. Just my luck again, anyway this will be my last time @tesco on my bike, it used to be safe long time ago, it's really disappointing now with all these people & their p-force doing nothing.

Everyone do take care if you're going there.

my st was stolen there too 2011
