Hi Bros out there,

I have heard rumors that Spec 2 with modified Spec 3 tail light cannot pass inspection. Is that true?

Thank you in advance!

Some, if not all predecessor to SpecIII, require part of the frame to be cut off to fix the SpecIII tail. Once that happens, and if inspectors know, confirm will fail. Specifically for SpecII, I'm not sure if need to saw off.

BUT... from inspection stories I've heard, I deduce that inspectors have little knowledge on motorcycles make and models. So, to them, as long as there's cosmetic modification that changes the dimension of the bike, they might fail the inspection.

One way to escape that is to change the tailboard before the inspection.

Spec 3 rocks the last carb version....solid built engine and with handling enhanced ie front fork brace and windshield....high speeds are not an issue. No regrets with Spec 3 and when the Vtec opens up, you can feel the difference.
