I am testing using the same pump as yours, but oil is still dripping when the pump is not in operation.

I am using Castrol MTF 80 weight oil, oil continues to drip very very slowly even when the pump is not running.

I am going to apply some thick grease to the cover of the gear portion to see if it will provide a better seal, my only concern is that the grease gets washed out over time.

Meantime I am still looking for a better sealed 12v DC external gear pump similar to what I am using to test now.

i've done the motorise oiler already .... but the oiling position and the tip fail twice .... i shifted the tip position twice as to minimise fling to the wall of my rear tyre as much as possible .as i a devil myself. i'm using my 12v bike batt as a 2 AA batt can't cope with the distance of travel. Now the flow is like you on a tap. My tip is place in front near my front sporket . so i have to let days goes by first for my QC check ....

why you always kanna problem....you can use the valve to restrict the flow.

the drip itself is cos of the excess oil in the tube .... so i don't think there is any solution for it except for draining it out ..... so far so gd .... working fine .... jus need to press the button for a few sec while on a slow move to lube the whole chain without the fling to the wall .... most sportbikers i spoke to told me that they don't use gravity fed or scootoiler cos of the fact that it fling to the wall of the rear tyres which is very dangerous . even if it's minimal .... so now i'm experimenting to see if redirecting the tip to the front sporket will lube the chain ... as the oiler is a flow not a drip .... so far my chain looks lubricated ...

In the end, u use 12v which is direct to the ignition? Can the fuel pump still useable when it is above 13V?
