No worries... Most of us seen the pioneer days of SBF tooo... We're all infamous in our own way... If you can wait it's the best... I almost bought another person's bike for 11k or 12k last year... It was an 02 bike somemore.. Some small details busted the deal.. So I waited and got the next one that came along.. Not exactly cheap but still significant;y cheaper... If I waited awhile more, I could get the bike that I initially wanted for 8k!! So.... If can wait then wait awhile lor.. But the main point i think most of us are driving at is that the price wun drop much from here...

 

Anything less than 7-8k I think i would rather keep the bike... It's so decent that you juz have nothing to complain about it...

 

 

 

Then again there's always those of us who "backside" itchy cannot tahan the looks of the slim new bikes!

The price i came up with also based on condition of the bike, accessories and rarity of the bike.

Like Bro joekia said, "Anything less than 7-8k I think i would rather keep the bike... It's so decent that you juz have nothing to complain about it..."

 

Since i saw Bro Heaven51 clean up the headers, i was so determine to clean up mine. Now.... WOW!!! hahaha.... To Bro Heaven51, u have inspired me... :cheers:

 

To other bros out there who want to clean ur header, NOT EASY ah!! :angel:

i'm using RAM mount for GPS.

and found that JK Commercial has camera mount additional ball for camera, and just attach my normal compact camera to ram mount.

been using for 3 weeks daily, including Thailand trip, comfortable, airy and after wearing in rain for1 week in thailand, glove is still in shape. but do expect black hands after wet ride (which can be washed off easily)

The S-moto glove is good... I have crash with the S-moto glove b4... Awesome stuff... Luckily for the gloves, my hands are perfectly fine!

i also had alpinestars sp-x gloves which are textile and more comfortable, more cooling but textile material is getting thinner and hairy over friction areas, like clutch fingers.. afraid it wont last long as above leather gloves.

as inspired by Heaven51, decided to polish TDM's header pipes.

 

TDM is only 3 years old and they were all good before the trip but continuous riding in rain for a week turn turn brown :(

 

WD40 to the screws so can take out easily

i was not able to take out CO sensor and cover, so just cut the wires, later twisted back..

 

as advised by Firestorm, i went to Home Fix to get buffing stuff.. (stupid staff dont know what i need, had to look for myself :angry:)

Sweat it out rite but end of the day feel shiok when seeing header as good as new...

 

U use machinery, should be faster and easier...

 

As for the CO Sensor cover, the allan screw on the right hand side is being obstruct by the bracket for drainer tubes. Need to twist and turn abit then managed to loosen it...

 

Anyway have fun DIY... Yea...

Bro, I think Kmax uses the Maguiar's Mag and Aluminum Polish... As stated its for Mag and Aluminum...

 

Bro use Autosol ? I'm using Maguiar's Metal Polish...

Yeah- that's strange - its bronze color! Too much oxidation?? Anyway - bronze color would make your TDM look unique!

Try Autosol for metal. No need to buy - juz borrow and do a bit. If it works to a nice stainless steel color, then get a tube.

 

I've ever considered using machine-polish but realized that it is difficult to reach in-between surfaces.

i have autosol... tried on my previous bikes before, problem is that autosol will clean the rust, but eat away the metal's surface as well, easy to rust back...

I was a member of the wilddog as recommended by one thumpertalk XR650R rider who used to chat with me back then.since my laptop crashed,and got a new one,i lost touch with many forums.such a shame.there's many good people around the world actually.
