b4 we set out,,, joe the boxer agreeded to maintaine ard 150km/h butt...... empty rd, opened clear sky, no uncle Sam......

All hell break loose my Lord Kmax......... Joe top is better than my with Joeboxee behind!!!! he clocked 211km/h & me at 209km/h

Both of us maintaine at our top speed for a gd.... 5km, going aft a M class

TDM is indeed a gd bike with gd low & mid range, fast at corner too............

 

Bro u knw, on TDM,,, is a bit hard not to speed.... look at Thomas & Din, at times they 'fly' off too fast to catch-up.

Agree bro!!! TDM must maintain RPM below 6k in order to have gd mileage when touring. anything above 6k is gone case....

The key word being "touring"... If "speeding" then definitely not "touring"....so fc shouldn't even be mentioned, and when speeding there are other more important "cost" that should be considered.

TDM is to versatile,,, can do off-road & fast touring.... The word 'touring' don't have a maximum speed imposed on itself.

Is the tourmates u r going with r comfortable with your touring style. To each of it's own, like some would preferred

watching sunrise with touring on NS highway, whereby some love the feel of wind blasting on the helmet. Well actually

none or my earlier posts did i state im calculating abt how much the f/c is, is more likely that since i seldom ride up north

& to maintain at that kind on touring speed, im surprised that i hit reserved tank at merely 170km later.

Fast touring is still touring, anyway i tagged with 'speedster' the last time,,,,, so it jz happened im with one speed freak

too..... so..... hahahaha..... wat a fast day tour.........

To be very honest... My balls shrink when i hit 170ish on the TDM.. Not stable !! Speedster through corners maybe... Straight road blast ain't my forte.. Balls really shrink.. Maybe on a more stable bike.. but TDM? sorry.. i scared..

Do you really want me to be the killjoy of the group? When I say "count the cost for speeding" I am referring the the most expensive price to pay, pay our life! Most of us have families now, and some are just starting to build their families. We not "young guns" anymore who no need to consider consequences on others for our actions. We had our time, now we have committed to others (wife, kids etc) and have a responsibility to take care of ourselves so we can be there for them, and ourselves of course.

I'm VERY sure you all don't need me to lecture you for these things, (and some have seen first hand the dangers of speeding on NS highway). I'm 100% positive that everyone who has been injured or killed in accident ALWAYS thought "it will never happen to me, I'm careful at speed, I'm a good rider" etc.

 

So, if there is a problem with me not being excited about the speeds you guys do, then I sincerely apologise for caring about your life and wanting you to be around (alive and healthy with all your limbs) for a long long time...

Fully agreed and well said ! As we get older, don't know why, really do not love to speed anyone (I mean high speed...)

 

I think balls already started to shrink as we get older and maybe due to sperms migrating to some other places... Maybe maybe...we are getting older...
