Do you really want me to be the killjoy of the group? When I say "count the cost for speeding" I am referring the the most expensive price to pay, pay our life! Most of us have families now, and some are just starting to build their families. We not "young guns" anymore who no need to consider consequences on others for our actions. We had our time, now we have committed to others (wife, kids etc) and have a responsibility to take care of ourselves so we can be there for them, and ourselves of course.

I'm VERY sure you all don't need me to lecture you for these things, (and some have seen first hand the dangers of speeding on NS highway). I'm 100% positive that everyone who has been injured or killed in accident ALWAYS thought "it will never happen to me, I'm careful at speed, I'm a good rider" etc.

 

So, if there is a problem with me not being excited about the speeds you guys do, then I sincerely apologise for caring about your life and wanting you to be around (alive and healthy with all your limbs) for a long long time...

I'm also 100% positive those poor guys who were killed on the road while NOT speeding ALWAYS though "it'll never happen to me, I'm a careful rider, I dun speed" etc

 

End day, I'm not for or against speeding, one man's meat is another man's poison. While it's easier to point out the dangers of one's action, sometimes we should take a step back and look at our actions.

First, thanks to the guys who understand where I'm coming from.

Second, Joekia, who are you? I seem to recall meeting you ONCE only. Since you like direct, I will be direct with you also, no offense. You are not stating fact, you are stating your opinion, and that opinion is ignorant. Of course riding is dangerous, so is driving, but in either case someone with sense will not tempt fate by making it more dangerous. If anything happen to any of these guys I'm sure you will not even shed 1 tear. For me they are like my family. I have spent almost the whole time I am in Singapore with them, sharing rides, trips, weddings, birthdays, babies being born, kids birthdays, hari raya, chinese new year etc. I have as much love for each of them as I would for my own family. We know our passion for riding has it's dangers, and therefore should be extra careful, not extra careless.

I too love to speed, and do so on few and selected occasions. If the situations arises then by all means hit the gas and get it out of your system, quiet road and small distance to avoid unseen hazard. Or if you REALLY love speed, go track.

To those who i consider brothers and friends, it is my responsibility as your bro to look out for you, just as those who have look out for me before (like the ones who want me to stop smoking).

I will say no more on this issue, and will definitely not entertain ignorant comments like 200 is not speeding, 300 is. (no misunderstanding my intentions eh)

that's why i downgraded to the 660z.becoz now I am saving each day to come home safe and kiss my beautiful Natasha.

 

I only speed offroad....I noe my limits....usually,when we go out riding dirt in a group,the casualties won't be deadly.At most,broken bones and scar tissues...Chicks with big tits dig scars and broken bones....hehe...But usually when comes to those anually bike meeting,when big groups starts to ride on the highway,it's really scary to see some of the bikers ego....
