Hey guys...i m toying with the idea of getting the 1200z.but,need to let go my 660z.it will be a bargain deal.anyone keen?milege 3500km only.basically milege is not for transport.bike sits at multistorey crpk since last offroad ride.full accesories

so far so good, i've been using it for almost a year, on and offroad.

Cheapest ones less than 60 bucks. . . and the width & thickness seems correct, 245mm x 5mm.

Then i saw this thread on Carpe TDM about FUEL exhaust. . . http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=19832 so i emailed them with questions on shipping on this http://www.fuelexhausts.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=547&scndctgry_ID=59. They quoted me price of £207 + £100 shipping. Worked out to be also about 600+

 

I've asked a few random shops on exhaust pricing the other day. . .

Laser (not legal) ~ $950

LeoVince (legal) ~ $1100+

Arrow (legal) ~ $1400+

 

So abit tempted to get the FUEL pipes. . . now still waiting for their reply if I can buy unmarked pipes (i.e. not tagged with brand) so that they are not too obvious to draw too much unwanted attention from our friendly guys in white. . .

No worries, its cool. Spoke to Kenny (HL) this morning, good thing is there are no major problems on the engine. . . they found valve clearance off, dirty throttle body and a dirty intake (bike sit around too long & not given enuf throttle xD ) . . . still working on it. . . hope it'll be ready for collection tmw. . .

 

Oh, and also done up the seat at Eugene's. Two tone anti slip cover. . He made it narrower at the front so when legs down, suppose to be easier. Wider at the butt area with a slight concave in the middle to 'craddle' the ass. . . gel like material used. . . price tag $160. looks good, even smells good hope to sit on it soon. . .

looks like R1 forks.. gold brake calipers are unique. need to change triple clamp for sure.. but i dont know how they mod clamp handles to top mount.

 

notice the bike is really low... even exhausts are not for TDM.. could be hayabusa or zzr exhausts..

 

i saw it in ADVrider. the thing about greeks .. that they dont post much details but just photos... so secretive.. just like angelo..

 

not secretive leh... just google-translator not very good mah. Also, most greek very selfish (and mostly lazy)...will not do anything if they will not get something from it of if not worth their time and energy (very unlike angelo). I was at Bikeproduction during lunch...they willing to take in my xt660z...without any hassle things would go smoothly for the 1200z.

After work,open the bikecover of my 660z,it's like standing there shining telling me not to sell her.

 

tough decision...the 660z looks really standout compared to the 1200z.

heh heh. . . finally got my bike back after 5 days. . . yeh! Nice & friendly people @ HL.

 

The butcher's bill. . . $180 for the valve adjustment and about another $100 for the accompanying coolant, head gasket & rubber parts change. . .

 

Throttle body and the intake was dirty. . . very dirty. They actually took pictures as it probably got the "Dirtiest Part of the Month" award. . . Saw the pictures myself, the 'butterfly' coated with dark brown sludge. Dun really blame the previous owner as he hardly ride and 'northern' petrol is usually of a lower grade. . . Firstly they tried cleaning with petrol, then with contact cleaner, then finally had to scrape it out! So its another 80 bucks to clean out the throttle body. While at it, they changed out the throttle cable as well. . . another $35. . .

 

As for the intake area, they can't do much as the gunk will drop onto the piston if they scrape on it. . . Hope the STP fuel system cleaner that i just used works as advertised(another 25 bucks).

 

Having said all this, the ride home was heavenly! So much better than before. . . hahaha. . . so the verdict is, "Service your bike regularly then ride it like u stole it!"

 

Well. . . tmw to Teck Thye for fork servicing. . . both fork seals busted. . .

Another price update:

Did fork servicing/fork seal AND steering bearing/cone change at Teck Thye today, all oem parts, wallet lighter by $300. . . But now the front is nice n firm. . . heh heh firm. . .we all like them 'firm' don't we? Just to add, he quoted me abt $280 to service rear shock.
