Dear all,

I saw there is an optional main stand for S4 from Honda japan site. Can I get one in Singapore? If so, where can I get it? From Boon Siew? Any idea how much is it? Has anyone fitted one for your S4? Is it nice? Need to remove side stand or not?

The reason for getting one is that can save lots of muscle power when lubing my chain; maybe can adjust chain slack myself; can easily clean my back rim; can warm up engine without me sitting on the bike. Now I have to sit on the bike for about one two minutes to warm on the engine before move off; don't like to warm it with side stand as the bike is not level.

FYI, mine is VTEC2.

Please advise.

Kumori.

If u really interested, i know westin motor in yishun got one brand new mainstand stuck there for at least 6 mths already. the last price he given me was $260 including installation. Maybe u can try yr luck in slashing the price slightly lower. Mainstand definitely got resale value as Vtec 3 also using it right?

no regrets in fixing one dude but u gotta give up jacking up yr suspension as both tyres will hit the ground if you understand what i am saying.

What is the logical reason for not wanting to warm up the bike when on side stand ??

I'm sure Honda Engineers thought of that when they designed the bike right ?

Cheers !

How do u know the engine oil is not level when on side stand ??
