Took some small profit over the past few days...

Anyway, how do dividence work? those with the symbol CD, does it mean that if i were to hold the share on the day the dividence is claimed, i will be entitled to receive it?

Then when it is issued, it will be credited into e CDP acc is it?

Thanks bros! =D

as long as you buy before ex date, you are entitled to dividends declared.

auto credit into your acct that is linked to CDP.

Good thing I took a fair bit of profits last two weeks.

STI cannot hold 3000 firmly, it seems.

Across the globe, there's a slew of bad news which could really ruffle some feathers.

Thailand itself is a handful. hope it doesnt blow up.

i think the main reasons are the Euro airspace closure, Goldman's case and china's property speculation policy.

The first 2 is probably temp whie china's policies effect is highly unpredictable.

Same view bro.. Upside limited from here for STI component stocks. Interest still there for 2nd 3rd liners though.. Wat's the story on KS anyway?

Hi guys, I don't know if this question has been asked before.

What should i invest in for a long term investment?preferably one with a high return rate per annum.

I'm 23 this year and my idea is to have an initial investment of $1000 with a 10% return rate yearly. I will put in $1000 per annum for the subsequent years over a period of 30 years. I've been looking at bonds and fixed deposits but i have no idea whats' going on.

I don't know much about stocks and all these. been trying to read them up so im still a noob.

I would really appreciate the advice. thanks in advance!

10% return rate annually?

you must be able to accept quite a lot of volatility and even losses.

Forget about bonds. min $250k. and will not give you 10%pa yield unless you buy junk, which means risking even your capital.

You sound like the perfect target for MLM, so my honest advice is just leave it in the savings account for liquidity sake.

Otherwise, you can try Sentoso or Marina Bay, at least you'll have some fun.

Took profit on KS energy. 10% in 10 days, whoopee...

Macquarie is down slightly. may look to buy more

Wheelock up 8% in 10 days but i think this one got more room so wont take profit yet.
