Not all are 1/4m ma.. Not too long ago I saw some in the quantum of 1000s "Nestle" Aussie denominated frn.. Else there always the Singapore gov securities..

Yes true, some are in the $1000.

but totally insignificant for SGD esepcially since short term yields are less than 1%.

Even if it is 5%, $1000 after one yr get $50... ridiculous to me. Sorry, if i sound rude again

so at least $250k type , otherwise no point.

I do hold some bonds and perps so just speaking my mind and my situation.

I've to agree. The yields are coming down quite significantly.. Alternatively maybe can try the exchange listed ocbc 5.1%? I remember they run in smaller quantums too..

Alternatively, Just buy S&P etf and do dollar cost averaging.

There are two issues for this.

one is OCBC , the other is OCBC capital

both are 5.1% dividend non cumu.

I'm holding some of this in my portfolio and also have the UOB 5.05% one.

also holding the DBS 6% one. bot when market was down, heh.

Yeah Thx. It was a surprise for me too.

I put it in the sell queue one tic above the last price just before I left for the airport to go on my vacation. Came back from vacation and saw that my holdings were already sold the day after I left, and my account had more money in it. Vacation more than paid over by gains. :p

so it's OK

3mth + 225bps is indeed a bit low for NC dividend

wait and see first. this one is long term investment.

The rates pegged to 3 mths Aussie bankbill rates + 42bps. Not too bad as of now..

I see, maturing 2016, priced at 77/78 gives a yield of about 6.7%pa

Yes, not too bad. but too bad i got no AUD.........
