cerebos will be a so called "more defensive" stock than SH, since it las a lower beta..

 

 

Both are different industry, thus it's not really right to compare the 2 on which is more defensive really.

Not quite so... defensive or not can be told by the beta, the only thing that cannot be compared between the different industry is the PE ratio, certain industry holds a premium over the others.

Defensive or not also cannot be reaally told by Beta strictly.

Beta shows corelation not volatility.

So low beta does not mean defensive, only means that it doesnt move in tandem with mkt.

It does indicate something but a highly risky counter could have a low beta.

I agree with you, i might have miss out that looking for a defensive counter with low beta must be support by volume too. Otherwise, iliquid stocks will all be considered defensive. i stand corrected.

At this price, its worth taking a look at $2.10.

Downside risk: Olam is an index stock and a break of 2650 would put further pressure on all stocks.

Nope, I dont think it's reversing yet.

But it is not as panicky. just a bit of cleaning up.

It is very soft and market is groping in the dark due to lack of fundamentals.

so now the market is very fragile.

this is where behavioural sciences come into play.

but i do think that some rationale perhaps greed is coming back.

 

I am not concerned with Cland and KLand and DBS at such prices

I definitely do not think that they are overpriced

but as it is there will be ups and downs in the stock market.

(in every market for that matter)

More essentially, the company moves ahead and has a future.

Last thing is dont leverage to buy unless you are ready to bet your real well being.

 

Money we can lose, but values and character , we must not.

I agree.. but if you have no idea what you are doing in the first place, sometimes its best just to ask the broker. If that broker has no idea whats happening, then change your broker.

Hello... i said values are emerging in some stocks.

 

I also told you im an intra-day trader, so when i trade, its only for the day itself. Im not a long-term investor so our mentality is different. Bull or bear market i also can make money.

I won't post rubbish here if i don't know what im talking. The fact of the matter is, if you had followed my calls regarding shorting/hedging/cutting losses/buying olam, you would have made a fair bit. I wouldn't go around just buying stocks that i think are undervalued and hoping it will go up someday. I can't win all the time, but as long as i can win 7 out of 10 times, its a good track record.

 

I have been tolerating your attitude towards me in here where in the first place you have no idea what you are talking about, let alone reading a financial statement. I highly suggest you learn how to read the micro and macro economics as well as financial statements before shooting down anything i suggest. If in doubt, just ask, there is always a reason when i give a call.
