I have tried it before, its possible to remove the pillion seat with just a screw driver.

Were ur pillion seat female fasterning mechanism inserted with spacer to lift up by the previous owner?? Its yes, then its easy to reach the locking mechanism with a longer screw driver. If its not lifted up with spacer , then it is still possible by forcefully bending up the seat alittle and use a long screw driver to force open the locking mechanism.

Its better to put the "single seater/seat cowl". Then the possibility of thieft from the pillion seat will be almost impossible.

Check the seat plastic base plate, or the rear fairing cowl, maybe not fix properly

Since we're at the topic of pillion's comfort, does anyone know where can I order the Corbin Hayabusa pillion back-rest? Only with this back-rest will my mum wanna pillion on my bike :cheeky: ... hee heee heee....

It will be good and convenient for touring purposes too. Maybe even comparable to the Fabulous-Joy-Ride!!!! Wahahahaha....

My side panniers are small lah. Helmets can't fit inside. Anyway, I install them usually only when I go for trips.

Erm... you tried http://www.corbin.com/ yet? And I'm sure you must get the seats first before you can install the back rest. Not cheap. IMO, the original seats are already very comfortable. But thats just me being a cheapskate, who knows, I might get it one day if I have the cash to burn. :cheeky:

Easy. RIDE ALONE! hehe

My wife is with me for all my rides overseas so far and I do not have this problem. I believe it her seating posture thats hurting your balls. hehe. Educate her to sit close to you with her knees around your hips and hands around your waist. If you are going fast, get her to slide backwards and tuck her head behind and between your shoulder blades, hands still around your waist. Been doing that all this while and still no ball pain so far.

For those into long distance riding with a pillion who keeps complaining about the lack of luggage space... may I introduce to you...

Anyone wanna do an MO? :cheeky:
