But I've felt it way too many times with that HJC Carbon. The fitting is snug but not too tight. The head shake I was refering to was the way my head gets forced left and right, sorta like Stevie Wonder when he plays the piano. With pillion, without pillion, day rides, night rides, so long as I go above 170kmh and beyond, the shakes come.

The only way I can eliminate the head shake would be to tuck my head below the windscreen totally. Can't last very long in that position though.

Then the only way to eliminate that problem is to get a heavier brain into your head :cheeky: just to make it heavy!! Hahahaha!!! Just kidding, dude.. don't take it too hard.. peace!!!

you can try remove the bolt, readjust the rubber mount so it fits closer to the fairing... :goodluck:

you should be able to get it mounted till it's flush with the fairing...

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

Such a long wait.. do savor ever moment with it. :cheeky:

Sorry i could only come online to reply only today but wad i wanted to say was while installing the windshield, the rubber plug gets quite difficult to handle at times..

The solution in which it'll enable u to betta extract and install those plugs is to use soap water. It gives the rubber enuff lubrication to slip in and outta da opening.

Hey kelvin, this seems like the kind of voltmeter you are looking for... :thumb:

you'll need to remove the rider seat and lift up the fuel tank to be able to access all the required plugs..

Hey guys,

For those of you who fixed HID, where did you do it? Any shop to recommend? Thanx~ :)

you can just DIY. it's a very simple connection only..

you just need to wire up the relay and plug into the headlight..

Ok, thanks .. it doesn't sound too bad. I will give it a try.. here is the one I am thinking of getting..

The GIpro is a Gear Indicator with built-in Advanced Timing Retard Eliminator. This combo unit is not only the most advanced Gear Indicator on the market, but also the best TRE device available for selected Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles.

Gear Indicators compute gear position from engine and wheel speed, while the GIpro reads the Gear Position Sensor directly. This is why the GIpro gives faster and more reliable readings under any conditions.

The built-in Advanced TRE improves part-throttle response in lower gears. It will also improve low end torque at full throttle and disable the speed limiter on certain bike models. By default this function is turned off, and can be activated by the touch of a button. ATRE combines all the benefits of different types of TRE available today, in one single unit.

ATRE is a Switchable + Remappable + Smart + Automatic TRE.

Auto Brightness Controller ensures that display brightness is always optimal. The sensitivity level can be even fine tuned if desired.

The GIpro works well with, or without other aftermarket electronics, such as the Power Commander and SpeedoHealer.

The unit installs in about 10 minutes on most bikes and works out of the box. No cumbersome learning process is involved.

Question...

Do you guys listen to music while you ride? I do sometimes but like I've said before, we have long open roads here so you can ride at a comfortable speed without really running into other cars on the road. So i bought some speakers for the helmet that fit up inside it and then plug them into a MP3 player.

Not sure what your laws are concerning that type thing there or if thats something anyone would feel comfortable doing. For me its nice because the ride can get so long and somewhat boring its good to have something to listen to.

yup usually on long trips to malaysia and thailand.. i use ear phones with a noise reduction system which helps in cutting off background sound esp when travelling fast..

aiya, no need la. my MHR open face helmet definitely weighs less than 1300gm and with my powerbronze windshield, i can hide behind it at 220kmh with no head shakes also. no need get wat OGK la. anyway, OGK aint that a brilliant brand too, right?

wan shi ru yi! :cheer:

try shoei x11 or rf1000.. at 250-260 kph still no need to hide under the wind shield without getting head shakes.. the aerodynamics of teh hemet will only sho higher speeds. my old zeus helmet start to give me head shakes right after 200km/h

I heard of GIpro from some buddies in this thread too, review is good for mapping at 4-5th gear. But i'm still using the just a resistor which map at 5th gear :D

Talking about GiPro.... which mapping do you guys usually use? Mine has map 4,5 and 6 (i know later version has up to map 7 or 8)

I have been using map 5 most of the time... what is the particular use of map 4,5 and 6 respectively?

PS: when I fixed my GiPro I thought it was only a gear indicator, so didn't know much about it...
