I can see you are very new in this thread. It is the usual NA's joke. It has nothing to do with you personaly. He does this to everyboddy but he is a great guy that have help most of us when we needed help. By the way I'm a teenager trapped in an old man's boddy and riding young man's bike.....

Anyway this bike is new to me and i need to find out as much as I can abt maint (other than wats in the owners manual) and things like how to tell if it has a 16 or 32 bit ecu and stuff like that. Any advise would be appreciated

which year is your bike? 99-00 are 16bit ECUs, 01 onwards all are 32bit.. :cool:

as for the ECU stuff.

99 - 00 model so call the unrestricted model are using 16bit ECU, the rest of the restricted model are 32bit. currently in the US, there are ppl hacking into the 32bit ECU and making tweaks to perform like PowerCommander.
