"if you have the money, can order the OEM Busa cover from Suzuki. cost about $150."

From Guan Hoe? Heat resistant?

Bought cover at Regina's, Raintech Motocubo 4L (non heat resist)= able to cover my bike and the one next to mine.At $20. Bought Revoil chain lube( becos they onli have castrol large can) at $6 but it sprays out like WD40 w/o foam.Is it any good?

You bought non-heat resistant cover??? Then you must make sure that you don't cover your bike immediately after riding, if not, you can get ready another $20 to buy new cover...

The exhaust is hot enough to melt leather gloves... yes I kena before.. :p

For chain lube/wax... I only trust Maxima till now... and I always prefer chain wax cuz it won't dirty the rear rim.. But end of the day, I got myself a scottoiler and never gotta oil my chain again... :D

I have just done my visual inspection on the front rim and I found a dent on it... it is on the right side... I personally think that it is quite a big dent...

Is there anything I can do?

What should I do?

If I don't do anything, is there any safety implication?

haiz.... :(

The rear rim looks okie... The left side of the front rim also looks okie... only this dent on the right front rim...

I don't have any equipment to jack up the front to do the rest of the check yet... so that's all I discovered for now.... :(

For those who are experiencing difficulty in shifting gear on the left foot gear shift lever or finding the neutral gear, problem could be due to the following:

1. air gotten into the clutch master cylinder ---> rebleed the master pump.

2. front sprocket cover holding the clutch master cylinder cracked. ---> replace the cover.

Hope this info helps.

Cheers!

with stock compression of 11:1 octane 95 is sufficient..

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

personal preference if u want a main stand or not... if u ask me. i'll say not neccessary but it does helps if u r washing ur bike(rim n wheels)

fitting on the main stand u'll have to remove the belly pan(it does not allows for a belly pan as the mounting n main stand will gets in the way)

any bike cover for sportbike of 1 litre and above will do n u can get it at most bike shop.

dun use wax as it will fling all over ur swing ard n etc...

most brand on the market is ok....

hope my post helps u with ur decision :)

hmm i noticed the reverse.. use wax and it doesnt fling use chain lube and it flings all over the swingarm.. :giddy:

I'm really really sorry to hear that. I know how much yr heart ache. Please change your rim IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT try and repair it. Front wheel if was keep the bike on the road. DO NOT play with your life.

Cheers

I'm using Caltex Platinum, said to be 100RON not sure how true it is. Anyway 95RON will be fine too.

i noticed heavy knocking using thai 95 petrol. but once i pump at malaysia itthe engine quiet down to normal.. thats why i never pump 95 petrol for my busa.. maybe its the thai petrol. :giddy:

i totally agree!!!!!!!

why save on it and it may cause u to lose your entire busa or maybe even yr life..

2 things never be stingy.. 1)the tyres/rim and 2)brakes.. they are the onli 2 things keeping u on the ground.

The various modes are but a gimmick to entice idiots to buy. Supposingly, the various modes would come in handy under bad weather conditions where the weakest mode would prevent wheel spin and fish tailing... hello??? There is already such a device in the market, its called the brain. Thankfully, I've not heard of anyone buying the 08 GSXR1000 or 08 Busa because of it. Why would anyone spend so much to get a bike this powerful only to ride it under severe restriction?

If you have doubts on the Suzuki engine without even straddling on one, then may I suggest to you the Honda Black Bird... it would sound way smoother and quiet compared to the growling noise that is almost the trademark of the GSXR family. As to outright torque and speed... well....

Whether the 08 Busa would be able to stand the test of time... well... ask us when the 09 version comes out and we would tell you. :cheeky: As of now, well taken cared of Busas are still purring like ***** cats at idle and growling like lions when provoked... so the 08 ones should be in the same league.
