I've tried Michelin 2CT and currently fitted Metzeler M3. I do not recommend 2CT for a Hayabusa. Even though these are very good tyres are not made for Sports-Tourer bikes. When you enter the corner the bike "drops" for a sharp turn. That's very good for sports bikes that are lighter than Busas. I found these tyres not stady on the high speeds. There is nothing wrong with the tyres, it's just simply 2CT and Busas do not match. Metzeler M3 is made for Busas and are much stady on the high speeds with much smoother cornering. If your main concern is cornering then go for 2CT. If you push your bike to speeds that is build for, then go for M3.

Durability wise, 2CT will wear faster simply because of its grip (better grip faster wear). So far I've done 7000km on M3 and it seems it can last me for about 2000km more.

If you are looking for a tyre that has very good grip and durability then, there is none.

thanx thanx

I know good grip and durability are 2 aspect that never agrees with each other. That's why I am looking at durability and probably stability... like I say... I don't do hardcore cornering...

Thanx for the input.

Will short list M3 and Pilot Road 2... :)

You do have a point too but let me just confuse things a bit more...

If you wanna do hardcore cornering, why aren't you riding an R6?

my friend's bt021 got deformed after some time... so that is out for me.

Agree that if I buy a sports bike, I "should" play corner... which is why I never buy a GSXR 1000/750/600... I bought a sports tourer, not a sports bike :D

Actually with my style of riding, a RXZ will do just fine. But then I want attention, so I bought busa for show lor...

Anyway, just to clear a misconception. ONE of the reasons for buying a busa can be that one love speed or cornering... but it is definitely not the ONLY reason... :D

haha... R6 will do a great job.

Actually if a person's interest is just to do cornering, a honda wave or super 4 can do a great job already...

Well, I got my info from Looi's after I payed up my deposit. Hope the info given by Lee is correct & he quit firm about his statement as I ask him few times. :)

Sportec M3 has very good reviews but have yet to try it personally. I think keratsini is using those tyres. you may ask him for some opinions. however, generally, Metzler tyres are heavier that Michelin. dun believe, go HKL take both rear tyres and try. you will know what i mean

My previous tyres was M3, it was good even during on the rain & the grip is good which will gv u more feeling on safe riding.:thumb:

Agreed. However, mine lasted for 18 months. Considerably longer than most of you :cheeky: .

You're right, man. I always have a heck of a time riding the Wave. It seems like I'm riding a toy .

My previous tyres was M3, it was good even during on the rain & the grip is good which will gv u more feeling on safe riding.

My tires are M3 too. Much, much better grip and more stable than the stock Bridgestone. My colleague has been using those tires on his R6 for 2 years and the threads are still deep as if brand new despite travelling to and fro Pasir Gudang and Chai Chee almost everyday!!!

you are also right, man! i have a Spark and i enjoyed every moment when i'm on it. just feel so relaxed on the bike. like riding in kampong. its a totally different feeling when riding a Busa. cos when you ride a Busa, you got to uphold its reputation you know? :D :D
