your choice of exhaust has to be legal overseas to begin with (either EU approved or JMCA approved or some other places).. you can't juz take a race pipe and hope to pass it off as legal in sg.

hehehe...ok ok.. :cheeky: yup, and there's a limit on the sound emission too before making it legal though..

I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.

So if I wanna keep the stock disc is it advisable to replace the pads to stock as well?

Hi...I've a question..if let say ur RS3 certified for the roads, does that mean that every RS3 then will be approved and certified too?or still need to go for the inspection?

and does that mean for full-system only or can be seperated?i.e: inspect for diff header and end-can?

thanks :cheeky:

I'm very curious to know abt legalising illegal pipes as legal pipes not that much choice for Busa.

hey dude, i just found out another info from a very "reliable source", which is similar to wat kaieru mentioned. to certify a exhaust system street legal, you have to get a lab test paper from the manufacturer. however, manufacturer will only get lab test for their particular exhaust system if their exhaust system has the ability to be street legalised. if it is for "race use", then chances are very slim.

For Cush Rubbers, spockets and chain I lied. It wasn't 25,000km, it was 24,067km.

Hey guys, some of you may find this useful. This is something which I heard from my mechanic. After which, I PERSONALLY confirmed this with LTA. The issue is regarding exhaust system.

Non-street legal exhaust system can be inspected by LTA bodies and be certified fit on the roads!

These are the steps:

1) Get certification and lab test papers that the exhaust system you are using are produced by the manufacturer for the model of your bike.

2) Write in to LTA with submission of hardcopies of the certification from the manufacturer.

3) LTA will arrange to view and inspect the particular exhaust system you wish to certifiy.

4) Criterias for certification of approval:

a) Noise emitted not more than 105 dba

b) Certification from manufacturer of prove of product made for bike.

c) Still subjected to LTA's discretion o_O

Best thing of all, there WON'T be requirement for a nominal fee to be paid.

These are facts I have gathered from LTA myself. Will be proceeding with the steps and see if I can get my Yoshimura RS3 certified for the roads.

this is more for street legal exhaust which got sold to another party and needs to gt re certified, cos i am positive that yr rs3 will never pass due to the more than 105 dba citeria.. :giddy:

how much cheaper can u get from ebay? i might wanna consider, plus rear pair too..:cheeky:

careful on the rear. if u arent good at using rear brakes the ebc hh can very easily cause the rear to lock.. :giddy:

yes and no

certain brake pads will "eat yr brake disc faster"

while other brands or make will not

eg ebc fa188hh is gentle on stock disc while the racing one ebc gfa188hh will makan yr stock disc very fast. :thumb:

End of the day its up to individual riding style and needs for the feel of braking power. My recommendation for the front change to EBC double H and the rear EBC/braking.

Cause many of the busa riders here have very good feedback and some are still using it.No worries becoming a guinea pig.Real life reviews so no worries.:thumb:
