Thats a tedious job to remove. Must take care of hands, must take care of disfigure pipe and must take care not to spoil the sensor!! KS quote $150-$170 :giddy:

My advice is to drill hole, put both size for 4 inches custom made sliders. The normal ones cant fully protect you from dropping your bike.A normal set is 1 side shorter than the other.Do take note of the quality and make of the metal holding on to your sliders.

I believe no sliders can be able to withstand high speed collision and etc.At least you can prevent from falling.I have seen track bikes that crashes at down side or high side,at bike shops. No idea the speed, but surprisingly the slider of the metal holding onto it did not break only bent. You can seek advice from many more knowledgeable riders here.My 0.001 cents of opinion.:cheeky:

Look who's the pro here man.... If really spoken like a true pro, then u wun hav more points to add liao.

Not necessarily true cause the points i add maybe invalid or not correct at all.I consider myself as still a newbie compared to more knowledgeable and experience riders around here.I think they know who they are.:cheeky:

yup.. but tuning ismore software.. the endcan are hardware.. so see u wan to play soft or hard hehe.

do not agree with that... tuning thougn now is done by software, what it is doing is closely in line with the hardware...

(pc analogy, you can install the hardware of a pc such as a printer or scanner, it will not perform without the proper driver

in the the choice of the endcan, tuning not done, the engine doesn't get the fuel it needs/wants.. obviously it wouldn't make the power where it's needed..

read back at what NA wrote earlier regarding the header design w.r.t. to the endcans...

those are the hardware that gives you the potential (e.g. scanner of a computer allows you to scan in documents), without the proper tuning (ie. drivers, the scanner wouldn't work the way its designed) the engine would deliver power the way the exhaust was designed originally from Yoshimura..

thus my 2 cents on this is that

1. simply plugging in different end cans for a

2. header that was designed for a specific end can

3. running stock mapping

don't give you a true picture of what's actually happening... (too much variables in play here for the results to be conclusive)

also...i missed out another pt on the hardware software thing..

in the past where fueling was still done by carburation, that's also hardware (use of pilot jets, main jets, float height etc)

fueling itself is not software though the means of achieving it now on FI bikes is...

ya i said yup to yr post i agree to wat u said dont have to go thru all this.. hehe..

wat my understanding is without proper tunning u cant maximise the hardware(endcans) but even with tunning .. for eg.. i tune a trs for top end power and i tune a dual exit for top end power. with their respective headers or same headers .. teh top end power delivery will be different. the set up and design of the hardware is designed for different characteristic.. if not so why so many types if all can be tuned to different charactersitics? so no matter wat.. the same bike with differnt hardware will be different even with tunning.. :thumb:
