not very interested.. i am now looking at air ride suspension. the reviews are very good.

just weighing the pros and cons.

it suppose to be better than conventional spring an oil based suspensions.

using air as a cushion to set yr compression and damping plus adjust ride height with different amount of air. and cheaper than ohlins!!! with 5yrs waranty. :angel:

but shall read more first.. :thumb:

 

hmm

i am nt sure abt the pro, but some con i can think of is the compressor failure, air tube leak, rubber being dry out..

 

maybe i am more bias toward ohlins cos using it. :p

Air suspension has been in the market for a long time liao. :p

Confirm better performance than hydraulic because of its fast reaction time.

There is certain reasons why they are still over taken by hydraulic in the large scale of market shares,

as for that, is for you to find out ... :p

Ohlins is top leading suspension company and didn't they move into air rides ?

5yrs warranty! Indeed sound good, very powerful lines for marketing ... :p

For 5yrs, many things can happen

and you properly leave these hardwares long gone and forget. :cool:

 

thast why i never buy.. need to understand the pros and cons first.. its quite common for cars but not so common for bikes yet..

Errrh ... You are not wrong about 950.

950 is old model with carbs.

990 is new with FI and have a lot better stuff.

SM950R is carb with orange chassis, that is crap ... :p

 

better stuffs is just for the wooo N orhhh..

tat i know..

conventional suspension also have rubber seal worn out, spring old need to chg etc.. oil leak etc.. regas etc..

 

so now just researching stage... no intending of buying yet..

 

1 major worry is no one to service the air ride in singapore. so give me 5 yrs waranty also useless. i need to ship the bloody thing back to us if it breaks down..

but confirm the compression rebound setting far superior to conventional suspensions. ist the reliability and maintainence issues.. :thumb:

if not wrong 06/07 model is carb. newer version is EFI

Carb model is much more powerful.

Yah, anyone smart enough could have saved the extra money and buy the akra exhausts with money left over for other better stuff.

When I mentioned having doubts about KTM going for long range, I was refering to service intervals. Whats the service interval of the average KTM you know? Whats about the TOP OF THE LINE SUPERSPORTS model, what is the service interval ah?

Penang B.B.C is the 1 who bring in KTM. if u want parts/enquires from them rather then local DW. i can help.

There is something call Ebay ... :p

e-bay has either second hand or Ignition Switch and Petrol Cap lock separate (i.e. 2 different kyes). Anyway, I just ordered from http://www.cycle-parts.com the entire ASSY Switch (Ignition Switch, Petrol Cap Lock and Seat lock), all using one single key.
