Hi to ALL

Last night (21.30) from Woodlands Centre tried going to Woodlands Checkpoint by bike, was a bit confusing. There is no direct route but to get back into BKE via SLE etc etc.. What a pity as there is no straight route for Bikes unlike for cars.. Return (22.30) car traffic was a bit heavy with bike lanes being blocked as usual until the Sg Checkpoint...

Have a great safe week... rgds

Hi Yuan,

I believe the trip was cancelled due to bad weather? Maybe one of these days we could go together on such kind of rides. Me, Uncle OLd C.... Around this time I guess the timing not too good as its still the fasting month for the Muslims and for the Chinese the seventh month together.:(

Looking forward to a better time in the future for a good ride.:thumb:

Hi Spore,

Yes, this predicament has been like that for a long time, mainly because of the extremely large number of small Malaysian bikers going back after work during peak hours. There is currently no way to avoid the situation but I would say the situation has been slightly improved during peak hours by the ICA by converting a number of the cars' lanes nearest to the bikes' lanes for bikers' use. So if you happen to go in during peak hours, try to keep to the left most side of the lane and eventually go in through the normal bike lane. Sometimes it cannot be helped, as there are ICA officers watching and guiding the traffic and you may be forced to go through the cars' lanes opened for bikers, then it would take about another half an hour longer to process due to the long queue.

The short cut lane for cars at Woodlands Centre are also closed during peak hours as they block the buses from going through their routes.

Hope that helps to explain things.:cheer:

otherwise make sure your pillion is able to squeeze together to your seat. endure for that moment.

Hi NormalAspirated

I have seen your inputs which is usually positive and do enjoy the inputs but here in situation i do not quite agree. Its easy to criticize and feel smart which we all do and get away as we never offer solutions in real terms.

What i did not add was that the Officers manning the traffic approached us and explained the route, stopped the ongoing car traffic to allow us to make the U-turn to return via the proper route.

Of course, we want everything to suit the way we want but we also have accept the other alternatives which may not be to our liking.

I am sure you and as well others have traveled around to know that we are in a safer world than other places which requires some strict restrictions here and there.

To keep this short, we learn even in bad situations and thank the Creator that we are ALL Safe.... rgds

To PIE:

My Hayabusa has the erp unit under the P-seat. Had it scanned when my bike was being inspected and it PASSED but was told not to have anything placed behind on the P-seat.

2ndly, when its at the back and u wish to park where the scanners are in the front, the barriers do not lift up as it can ONLY read if your erp unit is in the front!! Big trouble when you cannot reverse to get out and cars start honning!!!! rgds
