Just my 2 cents.. its not about the meter on the speedo... Its whether u have the bawls to get to that meter limit... :cheeky: other than that, its your own preference. Some like gen2 coz of its design and some like gen1 coz of its affordability i guess... I myself is on Gen2 and am loving it =)

actually the speedo marked 300km/h, not 280km/h if you see carefully. Gen2 birds are limited below 300km/h.but i heard a shop boss said the gen2 have improved alot. i myself riding 2011 model and never regret getting this bike since.this bike can corner as good as 1000cc sport bikes if you dare to 'kup'.:)

the bikes is not limited to the speed 300km/h but is limited to ~10500 rpm on sixth gear (thus unable to go faster than 300km/h) . you can remove this restriction by various methods. a TRE is the most common way although not the best way. you can also use a derestrictor by boost smith or ecu editor to remove the limiter in the ecu.

actually, the 2008- 2011 is all the same... just colour... btw 2011 not out yet i think if so its just the new black red like in xacher's display or maybe some other colour... actually, the 2008 onwards people say has power cut but not really... only its gear 5 and 6 has power cut on its rpm... u cant clear the whole redline... for the first 4gears u can drag all out and the speed is 290-295 if u clear rpm on the first 4 gears... haha... so dont think to much as i doubt we will blast and maintain above 300... btw if u guys want, we can go test at 2nd link together... i always go with my friend... his riding the 09 and i u using the 10 model...

btw u guys know how to get my pipes approved..? i wanna get akra or leovince but i wanna get it certified...

Correct me if i am wrong but when you buy the pipe it should come with cert to certified it to be street legal. Is there other way to get non-approved pipe to be inspected to make it street legal? If possibe that would be great. :cheeky: I already have a pipe in mind but dunno if its legal or not.. :p

Exhaust system

(e.g. exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers, etc.)

The exhaust system, which consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and muffler, is used as part of a vehicle's exhaust emission control system to ensure that the exhaust emission meets our environmental requirements. Any modification to the exhaust system would therefore require LTA's approval. The following should be submitted to LTA for evaluation:

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.

b) Certifications or test reports from LTA/NEA recognised test laboratories to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.

Note: Removing catalytic converters and mufflers are not allowed as it will adversely affect the exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle.

Vehicle owners found modifying or tampering with the exhaust system may face a Court fine of up to $1,000 or 3 months' imprisonment upon conviction in Court.
