Hi to All the Hayabusa bros:cheeky:,

I have been a keen follower of this thread for quite some time, although I do not post very often. I have been riding my Gen 1 Haya for almost 3 yrs now and because I respect those who post in this Haya and other forums and also bec I do not want to get flamed for my comments i have for most of the time sat on the side line observing only most of the time.

Of late, it seems to me that a new fresh bunch of young and enthusiastic Haya riders have joined into this Haya forum and that is also a good thing. From my understanding, the very experienced and resourceful Sifus:bow: have all more or less retired from the Haya scene and have already ventured into new territory, probably other bike models or maybe their interest have shifted elsewhere into cars or retired altogether. Their vast experience in riding and handling the Haya is non the less very useful and helpful and from time to time when time permits I believe they do drop by this forum but may not be at such a regular basis as they used to before.

Therefore, it seems that the response for the meet-up was not so well taken up because the new riders are not so sure about whether to meet up or not. Usually the first meet-up is like dat but once the riders have met-up with each other and names and faces can be matched then the following meet-ups should be much easier.

As for me, I am also mostly, a lone rider and have been riding for over 30 years on various bikes with the Haya Gen 1 for the past almost 3 yrs. I had my bad falls before and hopefully you get wiser from it. As for the meet-up location there are many suitable places where it can be held with parking our beloved being the main issue. A possible location wld be at Jalan Kayu, where I think the first makan shop with its ample parking is located. In fact if you prefer, you can also park in front of the shop across the road where the bikes are more visible. From der you can go to quite a number of places, even JB for petrol if you want.

I am sorry if I offend anyone and please do not flame me:gun:, I am just relaying to you my personal opinion and observation:shades:. As a parting statement, I wld like to wish to ALL RIDERS a happy and safe riding experience.:thumb:

1979 CB350?? Hmm, you are riding even longer than me. I,ve started in 1980 with a Yamaha DT250 Enduro 1978 model. Started riding busas in 2006 with a K06 and changed to K08 in 2008. They are like drugs once you ride them you hooked on them. So I am also fairly new on Busas. There are others with deepest knowledge out there like Quizsilver, Bugsy, Mercenary just to name a few. I also do not know most of the forumers here. If you organize meet up I,ll try to attend.

I think the problem with some forums is that people try to take “leadership”…as long as people who knows more-share and people who know less-learn, things will be much simpler…end of the day, it’s not what you ride or how much you know, it’s who you ride with and the passion we all share with bikes that counts…People will only unite if a group of people "click", but being humans, that is somwhat impossible as people always have different views on certain subjects...I've been there and expirenced that kind of issues...I have known a few new friends after my first gathering with fellow riders in KFC and I’m happy to have their acquaintance (you know who you are J) will look forward to see you guys again…Cheers!

Thanks for the comment Bugsy:thumb:,

I think what dat is required is to have some form of unity in the Haya group but it shld not restrict itself to only Busa riders bec from time to time ppl do move on to other rides, then it shld not mean dat they are no more with us. The bike may change but the rider just get more matured as time go on.

Recently abt 2 weeks ago on a wkend, i rode up with 2 cars to Tampin, Negri Sembilan, it was a slow ride but my family members said they saw a group of Busa riders at one of the stop-overs numbering abt 10 riders in all but unfortunately i missed them. I have also met other Busa riders from Marsiling and elsewhere and i believe dat der are quite a large number of riders riding both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 around, only dat for whatever reasons dey either choose not to join in this forum or prefer to be mainly on the sidelines like me most of the timeo_O.

I also agree dat due to personal commitments some riders may not be able to join in the forum or ride. I think dat as long as we get together to share experiences and enjoy our rides and not expect too much from others we shld be fine. Its just a forum for all riders to communicate and share info for the benefit of all, so dat we will be better informed and along the way not waste money unwittingly:pray:.

Only after a number of us has gathered together and after a few rounds of meetings then only will we be able to elect one of us as a leader bec to be a leader you need to have good leadership qualities. But the objective here is not to elect a leader, only someone who can suggest meaningful activities and organise good rides, whether short ones or long ones...

Hi Keratsini,

Before this i tot dat you were a very young rider but it seems from ur description i hv finally found a rider ard my age, maybe younger a bit but no matter, impt thing is dat we are all riders and love to ride.

:btw: what does ur nick actually mean? i am a bit puzzled by it. As for my rides, the CB 350 was a twin cylinder which my father loaned me when he is not riding it, would you believe it dat it was my first bike and i had no choice then but to take the CB for my first and second Class 2 tests. My first bike was also a Yamaha Enduro 175 but its block was so worn, no amount of money could get it running properly back again, eventually i got it sold off after abt a year. The FZR 1000 was my first fast bike, the ST11 was bought new and so on...

Yes i have to agree dat Quizsilver, Bugsy, Mercenary and Mr Stanley are all pioneers of this Hayabusa forum:bow: and they used to frequently post in here with great tips.

For meet ups, taking the cue from other riders like Blackbirds, what they did is to list out their nick followed by contact numbers and try to make an attendance for the meet up. Maybe including ur name shld not be a bad idea too. How about this layout for a start:

No: Nick Name Hdph Number

1 Trublue Razak 96164114

2

3

4

5

Once the list has grown then we think abt the meet-up and location. Pls remember dat this is only a suggestion, if it does not suit you i am open to all sugestions.

To ALL riders out there,

Have a nice day!!!

I used to wan to or like to hang out with fellow busa riders also. But at the end of the day , I found out that I rather ride with riders with differnt bikes with the similiar passion and ideas than ride in a group of busas riders with very different agendas.. Busa is a great bike.. I used to have an 06 busa and now i am riding a gen 2 busa. Many busa riders come and go as they buy and sell their busas to try out other bikes. how many riders out there are true hardcore busa riders only?

Dat is another perspective and 'food for thought'. I really understd what you mean and its not surprising dat this is the situation. I wld consider you as one of the Busa pioneers too.
