A motor needs compression, spark and fuel to run. With the restart and the dying might be connected. Can you hear the fuel pump trying to engage when you key off and on? Need to test the spark when it is doing this. If you can reproduce the problem near the house or shop, then when it wont restart you need to pull a plug wire and see if there is spark. Fuel preassure gague will also help you see if there is a line preassure issue. It could be as simple as a loose wire in the fuse box. I would say vapor locking, but that is normally 15 min kinda deal. I think it electrical, who ever messed with it might have not plugged in a connector all the way or pulled a wire lose. It would fit all your problems.

Basically tink he suggest u check the plug cables for fault, the fuel pump for faults and the fuel system for air or vapor lock (which i hear that for FI engines happens when u run it until completely fuel tank empty) and lastly to check your bike's wiring for faults such as loose connection or damaged wires.

Hm.. wat tat ang moh said is basically how e terms the bikes work and run and wat he had said might also the cause of why ya bike will die off suddendly. fuel pump, spark plug, bad wiring, coil, retifier,ecu etc.. can be the cause of ur problem.. hope u are able to slove ur problem and enjoy the ride again... if u have time do drop by Vista Point at abt 2100-2200hrs on most wed and we can share info on bikes and trip plus some tcss session but no obligation.. :smile:
