Hi everyone.

How r u all n your bikes?

I have been readin up a bit about the advantage of installin after market brake hose cos it improves brakin effectiveness.

Was just wonderin if any of u guys here had it installed? What brand would be a good fit for Hayabusas? Would anyone advice?

You can consider Goodridge or Hel brake lines. These are reputable brands. Price wise not much difference between the two. Yes, it does provide improved braking...a worthwhile upgrade/investment.

Hi LMF.

Nice to hear from u. How's your bike dude?

Maybe I'm being sensitive but i felt my stock brakes seems weak. First time rode in the rain n it took quite an amount of effort to come to a stop. And thats only from a relatively slow speed.

Heard alot been mentioned about HEL. U personally installed HEL?

A full installation would include both front/rear n a change of brake fluid if i'm not wrong?

Hi, everything is fine.... My bike also.Haven't been riding it since my last trip to Malacca with the guys.Looking forward for another trip soon. I personally feel that the brakes were a bit 'weak' considering that they are 6 ports. However, i feel that its because of the weight and power of the bike that causes it. Changing to Steel brake hose will reduce the effect of heat expansion thus improving braking performance. Also, try not to use the Kevlar ones as feedback from some racerers felt that they encounter intermittent brake fade... (no offence to those who installed it.) Yes, I'm on Hel brake lines now. Well, actually you only need to bleed the brake line lah, but if you prefer a fresh brake fuild all round instead of 'half-half', then change the brake fuild as well. But its a good practice to change everything lah. Oh yes, its an option whether u wanted to change the clutch cable as well, though i do not find the need to. Have a nice riding experience, see u around! :cheer:
