hmm.. only other country?? have to send meter there oso? singapore have ma??

During the Japanese Occupation, 3 Singaporeans, Ah Meng, Ah Seng and Ah Beng were caught for smuggling. They were sentenced to death by firing squad.

That night, Ah Meng came up with a plan. He told the others that the Japanese were afraid of natural disasters. So he would cause them to panic, and escape in the confusion.

The next morning, Ah Meng was led to the wall. The firing squad was lined up and the Captain commanded, "Ready.. Aim..", but before he could complete, Ah Meng shouted, " Earthquake!! Earthquake!" The Japanese soldiers panicked and Ah Meng made his escape.

Later, the soldiers took Ah Seng out and the firing squad were ready. The captain commanded, "Ready... Aim..." This time Ah Seng shouted. " Flood! Flood!!" Again, the Japanese soldiers panicked and this time, Ah Seng made his escape.

Observing all this, Ah Beng began to get the idea. "It's important to get the timing right."

Soon, it was Ah Beng's turn. "Timing, that's the key.." Ah Beng kept saying to himself. The soldiers lined up in front of him. The captain started, "Ready..."

"Timing," Ah Beng thought to himself

"Aim..."

"Okay," thought Ah Beng, and shouted, " FIRE!!! FIRE!!!

Coup as it unfolds

The Nation monitors the events that led to the coup as well as events after it as following:

Sept 19

8.00 am Thaksin Shinawatra calls an urgent teleconference with all armed forces' commanders at Government House, but none attends.

Gen Sonthi Boonyaratkarin, the army chief, later says the meeting is hastily called. Rumor then spread around the capital and the stock market that a coup de tat is under way.

12.00 am After finishing the webcamera teleconference with Thaksin, who is New York, several Cabinet members check with reporters if there would really be a coup.

6.30 pm The Army's special forces from Lopburi move into Bangkok. Gen Prem Tinnasulalonda, president of Privy Council, has an audience with HM the King, reportedly on a meritmaking ceremony for ML Bau Kittiyakala.

6.55 pm Thai News Agency reports that Thaksin will return to Bangkok on Thursday, instead of Friday.

8.00 pm 191 police receive M16 rifles to prepare for an antiriot assignment.

9.00 pm The Army'[s special forces from Lopburi arrive at the Army's Bangkok headquarters.

Web surfers post messages on Pantip.com asking if there is a coup de tat.

9.10 pm The armyowned TV Channel 5's mobile TV broadcast unit arrives at the Army's Bangkok headquarters.

9.30 pm TV channel 5 cancels regular programming and puts on air royallyauthored songs.

Reporters at Government House say situation is normal, but rumour was rife that deputy premier Pol Gen Chidchai Vanasatit and defence minister Gen Thammarak Isarangkun have been under custody.

Panthongthae, Thaksin's son, reportedly has left Thailand for the UK.

9.40 pm Police commandos arrive Baan Chansongra, Thaksin's residence.

10.00 pm Army tanks take position at Bangkok Makkawan Rangsan Bridge and Rajdamnern Avenue.

10.10 pm CNN reports Bangkok situation

10.20pm Thaksin declares a state of emergency via the phone from New York. He also issues two orders, transferring en Sondhi from the post of army chief to the PM's Office, and naming Gen Rungroj Mahasaranond as the officer in charge of the crisis.

11pm "The Administrative Reform Council" (ARC) issues a first statement on TV network, saying the armed forces and national police have peacefully seized control of Bangkok and surrounding areas. Soldier seize the Shinawatra Building, iTV television stationand Thaksin's residence.

11.15pm Soldiers put steel barricades at Sri Ayudha and Rajdamnoen Roads

11.50pm ARC issues the second statement explaining the reasons for the coup d'etat, citing national disunity and rampant corruption. ARC says it plans to return power quickly to the people

12.39am ARC issues third statement, nullifying the constitution, the caretaker Cabinet and the Constitutional Court.

8:00 am ARC spokesman announces Gen Sonthi will make announcement on TVs at 9 am. The spokesman also announces that TV stations can resume their normal programmes but most continue to relay signals from Channel 5 except iTV, which briefly airs its morning news programme.

Just got my '04 bike about 2 weeks ago and had been really impress with the ride. I intend to do some touring with my Busa but do not know what is the best way to set up my bike for the trip. Does anyone have a nice setup that is comfortable and will not scratch the body work too much.

Thank you in advance for you advise.

Okie, my 5 cents of advice.. Hope this can help

The last trip, I went was to Phuket, I feel that distance is too far and hard, so me and my group decided to go and buy some protector for our bikes.

We got from some hardware shop selling those clear types of stickers. We pasted it at the head cowl and side fairings plus some at the tail section to aviod those blind stones springing into the nice paintwork.Indeed it works. When we came back from the trip, i peel the sticker off and after a good wash, its good as new.. Amazing!!

Bad thing is:

The time and the effort pasting the stickers almost took our lives. Especially those difficult angles at the head cowl and front mudguard.

Hope this can help. But seriously why bother about the scratch marks those are significance: (Being behind another bike).

The gum on the sticker doesn't sticks after peel off?

For panniers, use a big piece of sticker (free ad type like MOTUL, ESSO, etc.) or masking tape and stick it on the part that you think will rub....eg. below the GSXR1300 decal.....this applies to bungee strap and hook as well.....

Guys..im not sure wat is d prob wif my bike so need ur help. each time wen i throttle hard and clutch in, d engine wll die. even wen im maintainin at abt 110km/h at 6th gear, i can feel d power keep losing and gaining..feels like slight jerks while riding. any comments? thx for d time guys...

This could be due to the magnetic coil is spoilt.. That cause your recitifer not working as well... My advise is quickly send the bike to service while it still can ride, if not have to call the tow to tow your bike already..

Thanx...

:help:

Okie, maybe I can share my experience with you. The last time I cover the coolant is that i went to the hardware shop to buy a mesh and DIY..

Price of the mesh: $5

Price of Cable tie: $2

Price of the effort for the job: Priceless.

I feel that not only I save money also when DIY I feel a sense of achivement.

Maybe you will like to try to DIY.

Another alternative to DIY. I've came across ready made Mesh screen for the radiator from Looi's Motor and it really costs a bomb. SGD105 per piece. :giddy:

Whaa... This Looi's motor is like doing daylight robbery. :giddy:

But maybe their's got design and colour. Then again no use also. Cannot see unless u kneel down and bend over.

In that case, tink have to DIY already. Like Xedward. :cheeky:

Anyone noes the exact measurement of the radiator?

Another concern is the chain. I come accross this Scotts oiler. Its good for the chain but very ex (ard $180 at K&T) and will create an oil mess at the rear rim.

Anyway to DIY this also? or got better alternative?
