Hi guys I'm back, after so many trips in and out Singapore.

I saw the comments for that 420km/hr Busa. It is possible to do it even with stock bike. I've done it with mine.

419km/hr without bicycle speedo

420km/hr with bicycle speedo

Just push it off the cliff lor. Second time faster because with the bicycle speedo is heavier lah.

lol.

P.S.: Haven't tried with full tank, I guess full tank can give abt 5-6Lm/hr extra.

Dear Busa Riders,

I have an announcement to make..

I will be bringing in specially extended 4" sliders direct from the United States supplier. All model of Busa sliders available including no cut ones. The sliders will be 1" longer than standard length(3"). Longer sliders will protect the bike more in case of a low side crash. Made of high quality Delrin and not nylon or plastic. Sliders come in 2 colours, black and white.

Price : S$55 without installation / S$60 for no cut sliders (price based on 10 pcs) S$50 without installation / S$45 for no cut sliders (price based on 20 pcs)

Scheme : Commercial Mass Order (min 10 pcs to ship/ 20 pcs is best[discount])

When & Where to Place Order : Another announcement will be made if the CMO thread is approve by SGPBIKES administrators. Once approved, pls proceed to the CMO forum and look for the "Extended 4" Slider Sale" thread and place order. Further instructions can be found there.

What are the advantages of these sliders?

These sliders are specially made to extend to 4" long measuring from the frame. I've used sliders that are commonly found in the streets of Singapore and whenever I crashed, I found out that the sliders I used is ineffective. What's the use of drilling 2 holes(for some cases) in the fairings to install this so called popular sliders only to find out that it didn't help when u crashed, still u got rashed fairings, cracked fairings here and there, rashed or cracked stator cover and or clutch cover. The answers to these problems are we need a slider which is slightly longer so that the bike during a fall will tilt at a slightly higher angle thus reducing the amount of contact area on the tarmac. The slider must not break upon impact thus Delrin is used which is a better material compared to nylon or plastic. Leading brand in the market selling for S$80 of the same extended version but made of nylon and S$140 for the no cut sliders.

Guys if you're interested, pls PM me so that I can have an idea on the market. If I can have 20 orders in a list in a short time..the price will be discounted.

This set of sliders will fit on a 99-06 GSX1300R sportbike. This kit bolts right on, with slight modifications to both fairings required. These sliders bolt into the upper engine mount, replacing the existing bolts.

Sorry Busa riders, I dun have no cut sliders for you.

Sorry if you have misunderstood..I mean for Busa I dun have the no cut version only the standard 4" sliders which means u have to make some modifications to the fairings.

Then wat the point of ur post

his pt is he has to cut hole in the fairing.. :sian:

419-420km/h only?? haha...

if i not wrong... terminal velocity for busa is about 105..3m/sec... :p

based on certain factors...

anyone too free like me? go calculate.... ;)

105.3m/s only 379.08km/h leh.. some calculation error?

terminal velocity = sqrt(2mg/ρACd)

where

m is the mass of the falling object,

g is gravitational acceleration,

Cd is the drag coefficient,

ρ is the density of the fluid the object is falling through, and

A is the object's cross-sectional area.

since busa's CdA is = 0.313m^2 (based on wind tunnel testing)

we take g = 9.81m/s^2

dry weight of busa = 216kg

ρ of air (at 30 deg C)= 1.164kg/m^3

that will work out to be ard~ 107.85m/s =>388.2667km/h

haha.. verified.. kiri's calculation is correct..

therefore from this can conclude that the busa to run above terminal velocity needs to accelerate more than 1G constantly

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower
