guys.. is busa oem chain suppose to snap into 2 when i got my bike for not even 2 months?? bloody hell.. it caused me my swing arm.. i skided for at least 1 bloody lamp post length.. guan ho dun even wan to replace my swing arm for me..

anybody got the email add for suzuki jp.. gonna email them about the problem

You heard the story of the K5 or K6 Gixxer Chasis snapped in 2 parts? Believe me, they wont respond to you..

 

Go ebay find a second hand, there you may have better luck.

Nope, did not order from them.. but since few mths back, i've been going down now and then to ask about it. Darren said the stocks nv come in even though they ordered it liao..

If new and odometer not more than 4,800km got chance to fight if your Busa is still in 100% stock form. Otherwise ... winning chances is cut by half along with lots of hassle. :faint:

I see... Went to surf ard Puig website and it seems tat they've no stocks too... How abt considering Powerbronze? Hav been hearings gd reviews too.

i lube it almost every week.. and it snap..

my previous k3 1000, the chain i did not take care much.. nothing happen

my bike less than 2 months.. but milage 7k plus travel a lot due to work

Hi yyj05,

 

So sorry to hear your unfortunate incident. To be honest I'm not so sure of the exact situation of yr case but if yr bike is 100% stock then you stand very high chance not only to replace the chain and swing arm but even to repair the entire bike. If you have any modification done on yr bike whatesoever your chances are down to almost zero.

 

The reason I said that is because I used to own a Rover 216i (cabriolet) a few years back. When the car was less than 3 years old the Intramotors was covering it under guarantee (3yrs or 100,000km). Within those first 3 years I had replaced following items for free under guarantee:

 

1. Power steering

2. Soft top cover

3. Dash board (the one between the front seats where the hand break is)

 

The car was abt 2years old (less than 100,000Km) when started having problem with the clutch. Brought it back to Intramotors and they said that they will cover. However they discovered that I had change the exhaust pipe. They immediately told to "go and fly kite" and my guarantee was revoked.

 

Guarantee applies ONLY when the vehicle is 100% stock.

I had problem with the stickers on the fairing. The long triangle ones at the lower part of the fairing. Due to the heat from the engine they were blistered. Went to Guan Hoe and they immediately accepted to replace them. In meantime I had a minor accident and one of them was damaged. They still gave me the 2 stickers that were under guarantee.

 

Sorry for the lenghty msg but is better to make clear my point of view.

It should last >30000 km like mine (the blue factory link one) with good care. I think you should fight for it....

My stickers on my lower right fairings are blistered too..

 

I notice the blisters appearing when my bike was about 1 mth old.. now its been 7 mths since i bought the bike.. u think they able to change it for me?

I brought my bike to them when it was abt 1month old (750km abt). No questions asked, they immediately confirmed was factory defect. I had to wait for abt 1 month though for the parts to come. Bike's guarantee is for 1yr (but not sure what is the limit on the millage).

 

Find what is the millage limit for the guarantee and if you are within the limt just walk in and tell them to change.
