Hey dumbo sub zero,

Did ur lawn mower chew off ur balls? Y r u replying irrelavantly n running english lessons here.

Good luck on ur pursuit for ur RSV4 since i dun see it comin anytime soon, juvenile rider.

Fyi, to adjust engine mount, common tools will do the job, however u will need a mounting kit. To adjust rake, requires special tool.

PS: ur CB mouth digs ur grave. U hav embarrassed urself enough today

What do you know of my financial capablities? Are you my accountant?

Question asked about differences, i replied. Nothing to do with day to day riders or track junkies.

I'm more than well aware of the usage of the adjustable engine mounts and how it requires special tools to be even used.

You belong in the same group as the other guy, so read this before you post.

If you both keep taking it personally that i am saying that you are POOR, it's not my problem.

Lastly, i didnt realise there's a rule in SBF that you have to own said bike to post in its thread. New to me.

I believe my posts are relevant to the topic at hand and it includes my opinion. Am i talking about another completely different bike now?

Hi Vicknesh,

When are you returning my track suit?

You took it from me in Jun promising to return the next week end.

Its Sep now. I tried calling and msging you, but there's no response.

I need my track suit. Call me back when u have read this post.

Thanks.

You need english lessons.

A poor man's something => Something or someone that can be compared to something or someone else, but is not as good is a poor man's version; a writer who uses lots of puns but isn't very funny would be a poor man's Oscar Wilde.

Does being financially deprived have anything to do with this?

Your reply if it's meant to be sacarastic or intending to prove a point, does neither.

Yes, i'm so poor. And you're obviously uncouth. Thanks your input and analysis Oh RSV4 expert.

3rd,

u cant even afford ur own track gear. wat is it like, 2k at max? maybe a little more than the lawn mower. and here u r commenting RSV4R is a poor man's version. u dun even have the responsibility to return wat u borrow? u pushing the blame to others. u r a disgrace

hello brother. we all ride bikes. if ur english is not good enough, pls go to see what is the meaning.

but if u do prefer to get offended and think that viknesh is saying the rsv4r is a poor man ride, then i have nothing to say but to agree it is a poor man ride.

we are just comparing the R and Factory.

The R is a poor man's of the Factory.

poor man's is a idiom.

it meant that the R is not as good as the Factory. THIS IS THE TRUTH.

its just like the 1198 base model is a poor man's of the 1198 corse R.

so does that mean those who ride the 1198 base are poor shits?

pls buffer up ur english. and u keep putting my friend, my brother down. let me tell u the cold facts.

so what u are a rsv4r rider?

show us ur rsv4r den. pictures pls.

and i shall now tell u this, no offence to other rsv4r riders.

u are a poor man. because u choose to think otherwise of words who dun meant that.

u are a poor man because u bought the R with the cheap mindset of urs.

i have no respect of a man like u, properly in the late twenties, and talk nonsense.

we all have freedom of speech.

im going to get the RSV4 factory. and im getting the 1198 corse R as well. life's simple.

im 24. i work 18 hours a day. im a operation executive in a freight forwarding company, soon to take

over the business. im opening my own food franchise business soon. will have my coffeeshop by the age of 28.

learn from me uncle. and stop whinning when u only got the R. if u keep thinking that ppl are telling u that ur ride

is a r and is a poor man ride, then get a bike, dat nobody will say its a lousy bike or a poor man bike.

enough said. u still want nonsense u can come meet us anytime. most probably with my lawyer though. coz i dun wan to

waste time on ppl like u. thanks. btw, if u are still unhappy with vik, u can always be expected that he is backed up with ppl like us.

enough said of his character when his friends drives TTS, GTR and BMW325i. we are just poor freaks. and we choose to befriend guys like viknesh.

talk less. work more harder uncle.

i hope one day, u will throw money at me.

thanks.

the Aprilia unique v4 machine and Max's race team has done it !!

Congratulation to Aprilia and to all RSV4 owners for owning a piece of such machinery, this will go down in memory lane , owning a piece of history too, i guess:P

An interesting review if you are considering which Euro-bike to get.But if you are too lazy to read and research. just decide on the rsv4....anyway.

2012 will be a treat to see what Ducati is coming out with the frameless and Radical Super-Quadrata motor,bike....!oh boy! oh boy!

Strangely, italian technical terms seem to sound sexy like their bikes.....

Enjoy bros...

Special Edition RSV4 Factory.

http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2010/10/2011-aprilia-rsv4-factory-aprc-se-traction-control/

2011 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE

APRC, short for: Aprilia Performance Ride Control. The APRC was developed using data from this year’s Superbike Championship. While it’s the BMW S1000RR that came out on top in most litre-class superbike shootouts conducted by dozens of magazines and websites worldwide, on the racetrack, it’s the Aprilia RSV4 that has won the battle. The Italian brand celebrates with the RSV4 Factory APRC Special Edition, which is equipped with a new electronic management system that includes traction control, wheelie control, launch control and quick shift.

The APRC package uses an automotive inertial platform with two turn meters and two accelerometers that enable the ECU to track dynamic conditions and adjust engine control consequently. The rider can adjust any component of the APRC system independently at will. The list of the electronic system is quite long: ATC (Aprilia Traction Control), AWC (Aprilia Wheelie Control), ALC (Aprilia Launch Control) and AQS (Aprilia Quick Shift).

The ATC is one of the greatest strengths of the APRC package. This is a fully innovative traction control system developed from an Aprilia patent, mainly focussed on helping the rider improve his lap times. Thanks to the inertial platform and the Ride By Wire, the ATC not only reduces torque when the rear wheel slips but lets the rider control tail sliding when exiting a bend, giving him a better feel for throttle control, depending on lean angle. Aprilia ATC is quickly, easily activated from the instrument panel menu and offers & settings. When the ATC is enabled, the rider can change setting in an instant at any time using a joystick on the left handlebar to suit track, pavement or tyre conditions, without closing the throttle and keeping his hands on the handlebar, as in professional motorcycle racing. This way, the system can adjust to every single bend of any track so as to meet the specific requirements of any rider, including the most expert ones. The other incredible achievement of Aprilia technology is the system’s “learning capacity”. Current traction control systems are designed and optimised for a single size and type of tyre. This limit frequently cancels the benefits of traction control. Aprilia Traction Control has overcome this limit: a procedure activated by the rider enables the system to learn the tyre radius and final ratio adopted on the bike to obtain fine-tuned traction control.

WSBK-technology on the street

Exploiting the full power of modern superbikes down to the very last HP is every rider’s dream. Aprilia’s AWC has achieved extraordinary results. Thanks to the exclusive Aprilia patented Wheelie Detection System, the AWC is able to “tell” when a wheelie begins and ends and kicks in to smoothen wheel contact with the road. Smooth, soft wheelie management avoid harsh power cuts or pick-up, providing perfect acceleration control. Again, the AWC system is activated from the instrument panel and can be adjusted independently from other control systems choosing from three settings to better meet rider requirements.

The perfect start is yet another racer’s dream, because a good start frequently means you’re half way towards a victory. When the lights go out, handling the huge power of modern superbikes is no easy task. Unless the bike handles it itself to offer its best starting performance. The ALC (Aprilia Launch Control) system ensures an instant start as the lights go out, applying full power to the road to assist the rider in this critical moment of the race. All the rider needs to do is give full throttle and release the clutch as he normally would and shift gears. The ALC has three settings that can be selected from the instrument panel menu, then it must be “armed” at standstill, by squeezing both traction control buttons on the left handlebar joystick at the same time.

The APRC SE got special livery

When you’re after the utmost lap performance, you can’t afford to waste even one thousandth of a second in an apparently simple operation like shifting. RSV4 Factory APRC SE is the first Aprilia bike that comes with the Aprilia Quick Shift as standard. Basically, the quick shift shortens spark advance for an instant and then gradually restores it, making for super-fast shifting with no need to close the throttle or use the clutch. The system works hand in hand with the new closer spaced gearbox to limit RPM drop during shifting for faster lap times. To optimise AQS performance, Aprilia engineers have fine-tuned power cut timing based on shifting RPM.

Key features of the RSV4 APRC SE:

• APRC fitted as standard

• Fuel system with variable length intake ducts

• Advanced exhaust butterfly valve management

• 3-point adjustable chassis

• Öhlins fully adjustable front fork

• Öhlins fully adjustable shock absorber

• Öhlins adjustable steering damper

• Wheel rims in forged aluminium

• Carbon parts

• Special Tricolour livery

i feel (imo) that the rsv4 is reali meant to be track use oni. haiz, in the city it reali felt (quote caged and frustrated unquote) riding it. (quote and its a constant battle keeping the rsv4 on a leash when faced with city speed limits unquote). especially now that i m oni left wif 3 demerit pts to last for a full year. so got to adhere to the speed limits. double * haiz. didnt realise that there are so many areas of 80km/h on the expressway.

i love the bike cos of the raw power, the beautiful grunt of its v4, the fabulous design that makes me stare at it for hours. But yet it saddens me when i cant let my baby behave the way it would love to behave. although i ride in the "road" mode nowadays, still have to drop a few gears in order to haf my baby not vibrate so much. so i guess the only way would be to vent the frustrations on the track someday. till the day comes....

For me i ride to work, i try not to go to 5th/6th gear, just to enjoy hearing the engine singing at mid rpm range...:)

PURE MOTOGP.

Other that weight reduction, did you "feel" any difference in terms of throttle reponse/performace/torque delivery?thks.

haha, hopefully come before my license gets revoked. haha. same here. whenever 80km/h stretch i will also drop to 5th. was tinking of getting the samco reinforced coolant hose. any feedback?

same category with rc51 even those droping to 3rd or 4th gear ... try do sproket changes will improvement .

Certainly, you can go for a 16T-520-42T conversion with some money spend. But before going down that road, i'll suggest you go for a remap cos aprilia has released a new map for the rsv4.

You can go to Sporting motors, they have the navigator tool to read you current map version and reflash the updated map, if need to.

Heard the map improves drivability. No harm trying, since bike is still under warranty.if after new map yield no improvement, then go for sproc/chain consideration.I did both, bike "feels" better, digital feel when transitioning from off/on throttle effect is less felt at low rpm and has a much better linear feel..approximately1000-4000rpm

Just my opinion.

Splover82

Notice you've a EVO2 slip-on like mine, do you have pooping sound whenever you throttle hard and slam shut?

The pooping seems regular and reproducable, love the sound but not sure if is too excess fuel reburn in the exhaust stream.
