Lots of good tattoo studios.

But let me give you advice on the ones to avoid.

Peninsular, Ngee Soon, Chinatown(Except galaxy), Geylang, Katong Shopping Center and Richard (JTT)

meaning these are the good ones or to avoid?

was reco Galaxy in Chinatown by a friend, thinking of checking it out...

avoid JTT also? y if i may ask?

Grounded... :/

Richard don't give a damn about your tatts. No creative input. Same boring designs and techniques over and over again. Charges way too ex just because he think he lao jiao. Pompous attitude. Do not listen to criticisms and suggestions. That's why you see his clientele list getting smaller and smaller.

By the way, I think he is no longer in JTT. His new shop call Body-Décor. He sold out his branding which his dad built to his former partners. Go figure. Also this guy has zero tatts. Imagine when your customers ask you, tattoo pain or not? How do you answer? It's like selling a car when you have never driven before. Or selling a bike when you have no riding experience.

His work WAS good. But not anymore.

Galaxy can only go to nick. The rest so-so only.

Far east all hit and miss. The tattoo artists there just enjoying their "rock star" status. When it comes to real work, HENG SWAY, See their mood! Good mood, maybe good work. Bad mood, they go lim teh, walk around, talk **** with friends, then start working. If you por them, they will do better work. You can never believe the amount of people who flock in to carry their balls. (Rock stars mah. hahaha) Be warned.

Derrick at Arab Street also very good. Tattoo Craft. Reasonable rates.

Other than these, I have not experienced any.

But I have personally seen the works of peninsular, ngee soon, several shops from chinatown, Katong Shopping Center and geylang. STAY FAR AWAY!

Tried Richard, Derrick, Peninsular, Far East Think Tattoo.

Friends tried Galaxy, Ngee Soon, Katong Shopping Center, Exotic, Visual Orgasm.

Do your own research before going for a tattoo.

I am not a tattoo artist. I also do not have those CMI art pieces on me. Feel free to go to those tattoo studios I've mentioned and look at their portfolio.

You don't need to know how to fry char kway teow to know how a nice plate of char kway teow tastes.
