Though some may say this is a rare hobby... Or an expensive hobby... But I wonder if any bikers other than biking does cosplay too? (welp, other than myself of course)

hmmZz....

 

First character was from Flame of Recca, Aoi... should be in year 2002. Follow up was also Flame of Recca, Fuuko. Then from RagnarokOnline, I've done Archer, Sage and Rogue. The latest one is an Original Character aka my personal Mascot. Am planning to cosplay as Kadaj from Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children (refer to the link from the signature below) on July 2008.... May or may not be the end of my cosplay life~ lol~

i dun cosplay... but have friends who does~ :smile:

 

so how do u usually get ur costumes...?? mix and match or tailored~ i do know some of the cosplayers like to frequent the small tailor shops at chinatown area to get their costumes done...

 

do u cosplay as individual or ever participated in groups...?? some of them looked really nice~

hmm... it depends on individuals budget.... When I first started (after graduated from 'O' lvls), I used my uniform materials, CUT it, sew it by hand and have it done one at a time.. lol, the end results didn't look so good but hey~ It's recycled! XD But when I proceed on... I go buy affordable materials... after that quality materials... so far so good, all my costumes were self-sewn. Except my original character's costume which I had it tailored but in the end have to had it altered because of inaccuracy (happens all the time).

yeah i know~ there are some cosplayers that really spent alot of $$ for their costumes... :giddy: some of which i still can't figure out (like how does that guy in the gundam costume go to the toilet??!!)~ ur costumes are very nicely done, i would've thot u went to a tailor if u haven't told me that they are ur own creations...!! :smile:

 

i still remember they had some events at suntec, downtown east, fort canning (rained)... and one group turned out in KOF attire~ and i saw 3 iori yagamis... all different costumes~ :faint:

hahahah... I usually alone dun really mixed too much amongst the cosplayers gwah... coz now alot of political stuffs in the cosplay realm also... Everyone adds in their own rules and expect people to obey to their rules of cosplay... But haiz... Havent they forget it's all about enjoyment too... Professionals can be judged on themselves and not onto others mah... The new generations are also getting more and more jialat also... *shakes head* Some people can be rather cocky... *sigh*

yeah~ i've heard about it.... actually started a long time ago~ too many different sections with their own ideas... it was fun when it's first starting out~ everyone's more cohesive...

 

which is why there's ever been a debate about the judging catergories~ but since it's too subjective... haiz~!~! :nono:

hahah... you know... even the first founder of cosplay (which is actually in Singapore) was so upset with the people that put him down so much lor... Least abit of respect mah... The young ones really follow the lead of the backstabbers sia... Haiz... that's why nowadays alot of the older generation cosplayers wanna step down le... sad right.... I also gonna step down soon... lol

Cosplay in Harajuku also slowly dwindling.

 

In 2003 I went to Harajuku Tokyo, quite a lot of cosplay, same quite sexy. In 2005, I went againt o Harajuku, not as many as before.

 

But Japanese Chiobus, still a lot.....heh heh....sorry off topic

lol, the only thing that they will listen to you is to go forward and approach them and say, "Can I take a picture with you~?" lol!! That's the best trick anyone can do after that and strike a convo~ XD
