i've been searching for waterproof switches around sim lim tower but i cant seem to find them. those switches that you are asking about, aren't it all suppose to be on the handlebar by default?

i am also curious about what switches you guys are using. the switches i used last time were just normal switches as i used to hide my switches under my fairings; no fear of water. for my current DIY LED projects that i am doing on my REVO, there are no fairing for me to tuck away my switches so the switches have to be on the handlebar. also for convenience in presence of TP can straight away off. :cheeky: anyone can advice on any switches to use? is ordinary switches good enough for the rain?

I got a ezzyoiler derived switch for my hazard lights. It has a rubber cap and I wrapped electrical tape around the very small switch body and contact points. So far no issues with the rain.

My next project will use very heavy 1960s metal switches that require about half a kilo of force to actuate. Lol. I don't care for rain and corrosion, I love the steampunk look :p

still looking around...... think the main problem is finding a waterproof one,,,, then mounting it on handlebar

Why not visit a junkyard and buy off those old switches for bikes. Some can be modified to suit ur usage. They are sure to be waterproof and durable.

it's not too difficult to do waterproof switches - sim lim tower 1st floor & basement sells standard toggle switches as well as the waterproofing screw-on rubber caps. to waterproof the bottom half of the switch, simply purchase the appropriate heat-shrink tubings sold by length there & use a lighter to heat them up - the tubing will form a tight wrap around the base of the switch & if rather effective at waterproofing it. any uneven-ess can be remedied by black tape. enjoy!
