Hi,

Some Nolan helmets were manufactured so that an intercom speaker and mic can be fitted in their foam/inner cushions.

I own HJC helmets and I wonder how to fit the speakers: should i place them below the cushions, wouldn't it affect the volume and rendering ? Should I make holes in the cushions or the protective foam of the helmet to position the speakers ?

If you have installed such equipment before in a helmet, or simply if you have genius ideas to share, please do, I';m a bit clueless here

Thanks !

Thanks Tony, I am on that thread already :cheeky: but it doesn't show how to do the installation. I thought maybe riders had pictures and details about how to do it, or at least could answer my questions above

Hi,

I installed the intercom recently on my helmet. It wasn't very difficult, the tricks is to find the right spot where your ear canal faces the helmet's cushion. If you're lucky, you'll be able to just slide the speakers right behind the cushion.

If like me, your ears just happen to be in front of the Helmet strap base, then it's a bit more difficult cause not much space or even surface to stick it.

I tried the BT intercom, but if it's good enough for rider to rider communication, it doesn't give me satisfaction in terms of audio quality when I play my mp3s. The bluetoothing with another set is also a bit complicated when both riders have a device they want to use (gps and or mp3 player).

So I'm gonna try the F4 soon and hopefully it'll be better...
