saw a few SP and KRR selling around between 1.3k - 1.7k for those left 1-2year COE..

 

how is it?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

Usually it's around that price. It's only the matter of the condition of the bike.

If i am carrying a bag (Usually I do if i'm going to school), then my raincoat will be in my bag. If not, I don't. :lol:

Maintenance is usually done when something needs to be change if not i only service (change spark plug, change EO) every 2 months which costs about $20-30. If somethings happens to piston, carb, radiator or gear box, be ready to vomit out lots of cash. Monthly Costs on bike is on fuel ($17 x 5 or 6), season parking ($17), 2T ($20), add up to a total of ($122 to $139)/month. Every 6 months need to renew road tax which costs me $32, and every year need to renew insurance. Inspection is done once a year.

roughly about 24km/lit. For servicing & maintenance, I would suggest planet motors at ubi ave 3. I have not serviced my bike there before, but i usually go there with Vashie when he maintains his phantom, and Vashie described to me his mechanic as imba. :lol:

PIE exit eunos link, turn left at filter lane, go straight, then turn left at 3rd traffic light filter lane, go straight until you see ubi ave 3, then turn left at ubi ave 3, you will see planet motors.

There are mechanics who repair bikes for a living, and there are mechanics who repair bikes for passion. Dr.Chong is the latter~ :D

 

During my search for mechanics to repair bike last time, I came across a mech called Meng Tong. Seems quite famous/legendary/imba in repairing sports bike...and he works for passion too. Not sure where he works at now.

That's why getting a good condition bike is very important. If you got a good condition bike, the monthly cost won't be that high.

Yearly payment = Insurance, Road tax $65, Inspection

Monthly payment = Season parking $17, petrol, 2T/4T.

Deadly payment = COE, Repairs.

 

For me, every month petrol costs

insurance only you go pay can liao. but for vehicle transfer, need the buyer and seller IC, so both parties need to be present, or unless anyone of you trust to leave your IC with somebody else.

So when i'm confirmed getting a certain bike, den i go down to pay for my insurance and meet the seller at LTA and transfer..

 

then i can ride the bike already? :)
