For JoyMax, I have no idea on the cost for the belt. I guess no much diff from GTS200. Except engine oil for JoyMax is 1.2L whereas GTS is 800ml nia. Anyway I do not expect the maintenace cost for JoyMax to be very much diff from GTS 200. For your information, GTS and joymax alike, have no oil filter. But have air filter.

The maintenance interval are tab short compare to the Japanese scooter....

I believe it might be able to hit 350km in 12L full tank. GTS on average only can hit 250km -280km using the same petrol grade. SPC 95

my GTS hits 350-380. maybe u full throttle too much since its only 180cc while 260cc you more relaxed on your throttle :cheeky:

yes, joymax 300 is 263.7cc vs joymax 250 which is 250.6cc all from the sym website. :(

hmmm...not sure if downtown is better...as I read somewhere that downtown has 10 more horse than Jaoymax...but i like the joymax deign more...I am previously a gts200 owner too...It didn't gave major problem thru out my 2 yrs ownership except wear and tear on exhuast pipe which gave a rattling sound...hope sym have solve this problem on GTS liao...thinkin of getting a silverwing/TMax...but the price I was quote I could buy Versys/vstrom 650(and alot of of other bikes)...crazy...

but heard that Joymax cost ard the same price as what e older version of silverwing ard 12-13k ... all the bike prices are crazy...if only e joymax would cost something like the old GTS $8K otr..

Price was quoted by Hong Leong. Perhaps I was too naive and lazy to survey or shop and to asked around.

Anyway, great bargain you've got for yourself !

Wow 30km/L is quite incedible milege for GTS.

Appreciate if you can share with me more ;

1) your average speed you travelling and rpm?

2) how old is your bike?

3) which petrol brand and grade you using?

4) which make of engine oil you using?

5) any modification done? (e,g exhaust, fuel saver device used)

Didnt know that with or without top box could have different on FC.

(Last FC done on my JoyMax was 31km. I topped up my 2nd tank right after the fuel indicator drop to 1 bar. I had already clocked 365.5km then. Pumped SPC 95. Reseted the fuel meter. Still enjoying my ride on my Joymax :).

every gram counts i guess, no box means less weight and also less aerodynamic drag.

1)mostly expressways travel, around 100km/h on meter

2)4 yrs old. but only 20k km on odo.

3)shell 98

4)motul 300 i think.

5)stock. stock. stock. tyres a bit over inflated over the recommended limit.

hmmm...impresive FC you have and also the miliege on your odeometer only 20km only? I think your GTS is well maintained by you.

Other than you use 98 where I use 95 or lower on my GTS. I do not see any major difference. The GTS that I owned previously was also around 4yrs old. No mod done except I was the 2nd owner. Took over bike at 30km miliege let go at 42km miliege. Perhaps the 1st owner didnt run-in the bike properly. Maybe thats why my GTS had a higher FC. It did not gave me any major problem though, except the rattling exhaust pipe.
